A follow up from a post regarding energy drinks.
e-shots are made by a company called Isagenix. Think Pampered chef, tastefully simple type direct sales company. I joined to reap the benefits of nutrition. And WOW! Can't say enough about how good I'm feeling.
Now I mentioned before I'd only had 1 e-shot. Really liked the affect. But I haven't purchased any more. So at Kroger... up by the registers. There is a Kroger energy support product. (It's not called energy shot though) It's next to 5hr. I tried one of those and Woozers! The mixed berry flavor was pleasant. It gave me the same energy as the e-shot. It's certainly much cheaper. Although I'm not sure if nutritionally it compares. I drank it with my lunch. Around 3:30. Ended up working a 11 hr. shift. Came home and didn't crash! Highly recommend this along with a healthy diet. Just my opinion...
What are your thoughts on energy shots?

I had them once and had very little effect so I didn't try them again.

Rather drink my coffee... :highfive:
-
I'll stick with regular coffee. Some of those may have way too much caffeine in it.

I'm a naturally energetic person, there's no need for any supplemental energy. If it works for you, then great, but I can't do them.

If you don't take high levels of vit-bs and others, it would be okay, need to ask your doc first. You take too much of certain vit-minerals they can stay in your liver for longer time than you think, not only the liver you got to think about your pancreas and that organ is the dead silent kill no turning back or the medicines for your liver and your heart won't help.

I tend to stick with natural ways to increase my energy levels (like lots of sleep and good nutrition with moderate exercise) and leave the drugs (caffeine) alone. It can be addictive like any other drug and must take a toll on your body.

Never heard of E-shots

I have never heard of the E-shots or the stuff at Kroger. They are all not good for you.

I do not recommend this to anyone. I saw how my teenaged granddaughter acted after drinking one and she was wired to the max. I have never seen her act this way. Needless to say her parents never bought any of this again.

I used to drink Monster or Red Bull sometimes when I worked long shifts. Never cared much for the flavor

take multi vitamins they are all the same

I do not drink energy drinks. The same as taking drugs. Caffeine alters your body just like drugs do.

Caffeine IS a drug.

They're really bad for you!! I used to have energy shots all the time and they caused me ... tummy issues. Let's leave it at that. I finally stopped drinking them altogether and I feel a lot better. More tired, but better. Lol

That sounds like something I would be interested in. I think energy shots are very helpful, I usually take 5 hour energy.

I LOVE my coffee. I drink a cup a day - sometimes two. I've researched a ton...and this is what I've learned. e-shots are not 5 energy. Nor is the shot I'm describing that Kroger makes. E-shots are energy support... not energy induction. They are also to be situational... There is direct correlation with B-12 and the natural juices in the products I'm describing. I am not a vitamin taker. Never have been... People (Including Dr.'s) have pushed vitamins on me. I've never felt a difference when taking them. Nor does my tummy digest them well. No product like Monster, 5-hr etc is good for teenagers. There organs are still developing. So that could wreck havoc on there systems. Even the soil our vegetables and fruits grow in are now lacking nutrition... which guess what is missing in the food. If our vegetation isn't absorbing it we aren't either. I'm amazed how how bassackwards our nutrition has been influenced completely upside down by Dr's, news, the web, marketing and even the FDA.
