Are you in the evacuation area? I hope you and yours and your property will weather this storm safely. Keeping positive thoughts.

Please stay safe. If you are told to leave, please go don’t put yourself in harms way.

If you've been ordered to evacuate, get out while you still can. It is not worth risking your life by staying in your home until you are trapped. Too many lives are lost that way.

I have a lot of family who lives in Florida. I hope you stay safe as well!

I'll have to google the big bend area I know where the panhandle is and that is supposed to be a problem - I am in central Florida. Well here is hoping and praying we will all be well and safe.

Please stay safe in evacuate and please take any pets with you I have heard that Michael is strengthening as he approaches my thoughts and my prayers will be with you and your family

Sending prayers to all who live in Florida and may be in the path of hurricane Michael. I wish it would go out to sea. However I don't think that is going to happen.

Did they tell you to evacuate? if not do not go out in the storm driving. Most people who die in a hurricane drown in their cars when roads flood.

To the OP: I pray for your safety and that there is minimal property damage in your area. First Florence and now Michael. Thankfully, I am only in this area for work purposes.

Please stay safe! Evacuate if it is recommended for your area. A sister of a friend refused to evacuate in NC and had to be rescued.

When I went to sleep last night it was a Cat 2 and they predicted a possible Cat 3 by landfall. Woke up this morning and it's now a Cat 4, just goes to show one never knows, it's best to evacuate when they tell you to, even if you think it's not going to be so bad a hurricane can strengthen in the blink of an eye. I hope everyone stays safe and listens to their local officials.

We live in Ga., and they say it will be coming right in the middle of Ga. already getting some of the rain.

Thank you for your well wishes! it's too late to evacuate now but I'm at home waiting out this now cat 4 hurricane. there's just a lot of down pore rain right now. Land fall is happening right now! Target is going towards Panama city area & Mexico beach! Storm warnings for tornadoes & other weather issues will be held up till 5pm.

Prayers! I have been watching the news and I see the whole panhandle is destroyed. It makes me sad. My husband and I just love it there, we go to Panama City Beach every year and consider it like a second home.

Hope you can get out if needed. Just watching CNN is scary. Stay in a small room like the bathroom with walls to hold onto. I hope it's not that bad.

I cannot believe how quickly this one got to a 4. Prayers for safety for all in the line of this one, it looks really bad.

Saw this morning, over a million (!!!!) homes witout power.

Our power was off for 27 hours, just came back on. We had a lot of rain and some wind but nothing like they did in Florida. Watching now what happened to Mexico Beach, Florida, how horrible. So much destruction. They were showing some of the destruction and showed a bathtub along with part of the wall it was attached to and right next to it was a bottle of wine that had not been broken and a light bulb still in tact. So weird. It looks like bombs went off.

I have several family members that are in the area. Some stayed and some didn't. They are all ok, but roofs are damaged or gone. My aunt is in a mobile home and all her added on additions are gone.
