Title: Waking up
Post by: melodylogan45 on December 15, 2018, 01:02:40 am
I just woke up at 3:00 am thinking that I have
To go to work in a few hours. I had to sit there and
Think, today is Saturday and I do not work.
Sometimes I get into a deep sleep, not often
Enough though.

I do that all the time since I retired, the days all seem to run together and I have to wait until I get online to see what day it is.

I hate waking up early on days off, but sometimes your body is just used to it

Sounds like no one else got a good night's sleep either! My head refused to turn off until way too late...

Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night not knowing what day it is. But there's only one day that I don't have to get up at 5 AM in the day Sunday  :present: :peace: :santa:

I feel lazy if I go to bed before eleven at night or do not wake up between four and four fifteen-except on Sundays when I treat myself to eight hours of sleep.I am able to hit rapid eye movement sleep, seemingly, instantaneously, which has me rested and ready to go when waking up. If I wake up earlier than four I head downstairs and jump on one of my work computers so as to maximize my productivity. It is rare that I work up earlier than four but, I figure, why waste the opportunity? I have three weeks off from one job (had to burn my paid time off or lose it) and find myself pushing the limits of productivity even further. My second job lets me go unrestrained and I am aiming to not only hit forty hours but to add forty hours of overtime. Thanks for the post and try to get some rest!

It seems like the older I get, the harder it is to fall asleep and once I do, its even harder to wake up.  No fun.

I fall asleep easily, then wake up ten minutes later and lay there for two hours.  Very frustrating.  I get a lot of reading done.  And I memorized all the Presidents in order, beginning with George Washington, of course.  Now I'm memorizing the books of the Bible when I can't sleep.  A can also recite the alphabet backwards in 10 seconds or less.  All these amazing accomplishments...just because I can't sleep.

Did not realize so many were awake at 3:00 a.m. besides me.

It really tilts my day, and I am in a vague fog.  I wish I could sleep till 6:30 like I used too.

Too much on my mind, I guess.  Plus aches and pains of an old body.

I get up at 5:50 most mornings.   On my days off I feel fortunate if I sleep til 7am.
Sometimes I wake up earlier when I have much on my mind and much to do.
