I like all kinds of word games either on the computer or a puzzle book.  I play a word game almost every night on my Kindle Fire.  I enjoy sitting on the deck with a puzzle book when the weather is nice. :)

I always enjoyed the logic games: X is next to Y; Y is wearing a green coat and is NOT next to Z; Z is not wearing a blue coat; the person wearing the blue coat is not next to Z...    and you had to solve where each person is sitting and what color coat they are wearing - that sort of thing.  Many of the mixed puzzle books had a handful of this type thrown in.  I always attempted (and often failed) these puzzles first before any of the others!

ALERT: my example is just garbage clues I rattled off to illustrate how the puzzle clues were presented and is not a solvable puzzle!

I used to have a computer game that had about several thousand combination variations with visual clues like this.  You had to deduce six different people with six different attributes and it had a running clock to track your time spent on the puzzle.  It was called (fittingly enough) Sherlock (http://www.kaser.com/sherwin.html).

(EDITED to include a link to the game)

I like some of these games but some just frustrate me!  I do them from time to time but not regularly. I'd much rather just read or watch a good movie.  However, I know they are very good for "exercising " your brain. I should do them more often but i really need to exercise my body more and that is my goal!

You name the brain game, I've tried it. Chances are I have owned a book of just about every type of brain puzzle out there. I'm really into crosswords currently, but I also love Ken Ken (which is way better than Sudoku). Still, I am always up for a new challenge. I absolutely love puzzles.

I am a senior and l like to do one logic puzzle every day to keep my mind active. I order a subscription to a logic puzzle magazine so I get a book of new puzzles every month to work on. They really are a lot of fun to do.
