Title: Hair Color
Post by: camellia0 on May 04, 2019, 08:56:06 am
I see people who dye their hair different colors (like blue, green, purple). Have/would you do these colors? I kinda like the blue. I may try it out.

I would not use one of these colors all-over.  However, I am thinking of getting a couple streaks in the front the next time I get my hair done.  My hair color is auburn and my hairdresser told me I would want to pick warm colors to best match with my warm hair color.

I've thought about it but I'm not sure I could pull that look off!  :-\ :-\

No why star now I have never  colored my hair. Now 76 why  worry about it now.   I started getting silver streaks in it at age 34.  It used to be dark brown and the streaks added  some effect to it. People  liked it and I just left it alone. Now I am silver with  a few dark hairs. Still looks  good so why change now. As long as it is soft and shiny that is all i care about.

I have seen all sorts of hair colors, purple, green ::) but I guess there is obvious a big market for  it so I am sure the manufacturers will keep making, I just like basic black, or brown.

If I were younger I would definitely do it, but at my age i think it would look silly and ridiculous.

Never really was a fan of the different colors and only did it for a couple of Halloweens.

I haven't done much with my hair lately, but am thinking seriously about coloring it. Maybe doing
highlights again like I used to back in the day.... lol.

What you do not know is that they are using a "temporary hair spray with a special dye".
The best way to do it is: Visit Walmart stores during Halloween season. Many colors are available:
Black, white, gray, navy blue, light blue, pink, green, purple and many more shades. The only problem
is: These cans sell fast. It is a nice way to have some fun with your hair and try different looks. After
few shampoos, you hair will go back to your natural hair color.

I have been coloring my Hair ever since I started to see Gray. I color my hair every Eight Weeks, but I only use Light Blonde.I really like that very pretty Pastel Pink that Cindy Lauper uses on her Hair. She was a Famous singer in the 80's of soft Rock Music. She now does a Commercial for a Medication, I can't remember the Name of the Medication, but her Hair is a Beautiful Pastel Pink. It would not look good on me though, but I looked like her, I would color my Hair that color. She is older than me and when she was singing back in the 80's, she would have multiple colors in her hair and that looked real good on her as well.

You really have to be strong and not let people staring at you bother you to dye your hair pink or blue I would think. I myself would not do that because I don't like to stand out in a crowd or draw attention to myself.

Age-wise, I'm passed the multicolor hair scene.

I remember when the punk rockers back in the 70's/80's started dying their hair funky colors & styles & it was so outrageous & offensive to people... now it has become normalized.   Just like ripped jeans people used to make & now it is fashionable & those pants are expensive to buy them in stores.

I personally have grown out of dying of my hair funky colors in my 20's.  But, if you want to dye your hair unnatural colors & your work permits it, dye it... it is now, in this day & age, not a big deal.  Live your best life.

I've tried the pink and purple and liked them both.  Especially the pink.

I enjoy changing my hair color once in a while just like I change the nail polish color.  By the way, I'm going to be 69 and it's still fun for me.

You're never too old to dye your hair some crazy color if you want to. I actually see more older women with green/blue/pink hair than 20-somethings. There's a man that runs past my apartment almost every day that has extremely bright neon pink hair and beard. It looks like a lot of work to maintain that level of vibrancy.

I usually dye my hair with henna, but it fades so quickly that I've just let it go natural. I've been thinking of trying some bright unnatural color but worried about having to bleach my hair first.

I don't care anymore what other people think.  If I like it, I do it.  When I was very young, I really cared what other people thought.  That went out the window as I got older.  If the different color perks her or him up, whatever the age, go for it!

I love some of the colors that people use on their hair.  I don't think I am bold enough to go that route.

I don't think I would ever get my hair colored and especially not a wilder color like blue, green or purple. I think it's just because I'm more conservative and prefer my natural hair color to any I've seen on the market. But I'm not against hair coloring. I've seen some people pull it off and look good in various colors. I think the most I might ever try and I'm still not sure if I would get up the nerve is maybe more of a darker crimson red and that would be just around the edges if I got a bob hairdo.

I think I will just stick with my medium brown.  There are not too many colors that show up on my hair color.

Only if I were dressing up as someone else and couldn’t find a proper wig.

If you are young you can color like that but if older i think its not appropriate anymore. I colored my hair just dark brown and my skin color is brown also.

I don't care for the hair colors like pink, green, blue etc.

I have seen one coloring of a deep purple on a very dark haired girl that was attractive.....the deep purple was more of a shimmering highlight when she turned her head.

I love the idea of coloring my hair but I definitely am not confident enough to actually go through with it. Power to those people!

I wanna try this so bad. :( With my dark brown hair, I'd have to bleach it and it seems like a lot of upkeep. Dang it. Maybe someday.

My hair is currently red. It has been for almost 10 years. I tried blonde and loved it, just didn't like the damage lol. I'd love to go back or try a blue.
