Nope haven't seen it.  But I've heard nothing but good things about it.  I did however see Dumbo and Toy Story - I would recommend em both.  Hakuna Matata!

I'm going to see it soon. My prediction is that it will be visually amazing but inferior to the original in terms of storytelling, I feel like that's usually how these "live action" remakes go

No, I have no desire to support Disney remaking old classic films.

I'm also upset that they've stopped doing theatrically released 2D animated films.

I have no interest in it at all. The only live re-make I've seen is the Jungle Book. That was just okay.

I have not seen the new movie yet. I am a little afraid to see the new movie because I don't want it to be bad. The original animated cartoon version is my favorite cartoon movie of all time.

You can watch it on UTube.
The theme song of the Lion King movie,
      by Elton John, is amazing!

I haven't seen the movie yet, but based on the comments and reviews of those who have seen it, I am absolutely excited to watch it for myself.

I grew up watching the 1994 Disney version, so I am trying not to be too biased. I will be honest, though, one of the main reasons I want to watch it is because Beyonce is involved.

I would love to see The Lion King.  My work schedule prohibited me from getting to the theater this weekend.  I guess I'll have to wait til it's available for rent at a Red Box.

I want to see the new version, but I'm also afraid it will be bad despite pretty good reviews.

I saw it and my previous post was pretty much right. In this one the animals looked so close to real (in an uncanny valley way) that it was like watching nature footage, they did not really emote the way the cartoons could with full-on facial expressions, and for that reason I felt a lot of the emotional resonance was sucked out of it, for example Mufasa's death felt about a tenth as sad. I am not on the Beyonce worship train and was not impressed by her or really anyone's voice acting in this. And they all but scrapped the only musical number I ever kind of liked.

Final verdict: okay but inferior. Save your money and wait til it shows up on netflix.

I saw it with my granddaughters.  We like it.  I didn't expect to but, I did like it.  I also have a funny lion king ringtone that goes, I don't know what the words really are.  Backup singers:  That's ok, we'll make them up.  No one knows a what we are saying, but it's fun to sing it anyway uh

The new Lion King doesn't look that cool. It looks kind of stupid. It is not anything like the original Lion King.

I honestly didn't like it as much as I did the original. I found the characters a bit off and strange looking. Just a movie in my opinion that didn't need to be re done.
