Title: state slogans
Post by: tjshorty on July 28, 2019, 10:37:05 am: They recently changed ours. Not sure I like it. I do think its cute but not for a slogan. "It's not for Everyone" is part of the new one. What's your states slogan?

We go from the desert to Mountains over 10,000 feet. You can stand ant the top of one mountain here and see the four corners. Utah, co. Nm. and Az.

That reminds me that my son says there are only two seasons in Alaska, Winter and Construction. Drive the Alcan Highway and you will notice that includes Canada too.

I think this is the state nickname, but I am kind of curious about what Georgia's slogan is. Might be interesting.

The state I grew up in has a motto of "ad astra per aspera." It means something along the lines of "to the stars through difficulties." I guess that's pretty cool.
