Who is going out of town for Christmas? I haven't done that in quite sometime. It was always so much fun. Seeing people you haven't seen in quite sometime. Those get togethers were amazing. What about you?

I used to travel for the holidays but now I just stay put. it is cheaper to ups the gifts or order them online and send them to the kids house. They mostly want money too :)
-
Nope staying home but daughter will be in Ohio with her fiance family. First time one of my kids will be missing in 36 years.
-
Nope, staying in town. I have never been out of town for the holidays.
-
I have no reason to go out of town for Christmas since most of my family is in the same town. But maybe some day it would be nice to go out of town for Christmas.

The week between Christmas and New Years, yes....
-
Nope Im staying home :) Im a homebody, plus I have 2 dogs, that I dont want to have to take with me, and I wont board them

The only place I might go to visit is either of my two daughters. The longest distance is about an hour's drive; the other is only about 40 minutes. In either place, I will only spend the day. I like to be in my own bed at night if possible. If the weather is very dicey around that time, I will just stay home!

Nowhere but ho ho home.....

My Mom and I live in Georgia, but she lives 120 miles away from me. She lives in Atlanta and I live right on the Georgia and South Carolina line. So I guess you could say that we are going out if town for Christmas. it is just so sad because I lost my Daddy in July, 2016 and it was his favorite time of year. Going to his House is going to be very hard on me.

I am.I work 4 miles from my house and im working that day.Time and a half pay.....plus MANY tips!!!YE HA!!

Nope, I never go out of town, my family likes to come to Atlanta for Christmas

No out of town for me. It is somewhat tempting to go to South Carolina where my deceased husband's older sister is who I am very close to and my step-daughter and her family. But I am not much for leaving home although I should because my sister-in-law is so good about coming to Florida to see me.

I’m staying in town and having dinner with family
-
I'm going to my girlfriend's family in central PA. I'm excited!
-
Nope, I have no need to travel and stress myself out! Home sweet home is where I'll be!

I have never gone out of town for Christmas before, but this year, my daughter has three weeks off from work because her company gives the whole company two weeks and she still has a week of vacation. So we are planning a big family trip with the grandchildren. We will probably go to the Grand Canyon because my daughter has never seen that before.

Christmas Day my side of the family comes for dinner (33 of us). Then on the weekend we go to my in-laws to celebrate....only 30 miles away. I've never spent a single Christmas without my family.

In the past, when our kids were little, we'd open the stuff in our stockings before breakfast and open tree presents after breakfast. Then we'd get dressed and go to my grandmother's house and open presents and eat lunch. Then we'd go to my stepfather's house and open presents and eat dessert. Then we'd travel a couple of hours to my husband's mom's house to open presents there and have supper. Then we'd spend the weekend there and just chill out.
Nowadays, since some of our loved ones have passed away, we keep it pretty simple and just open presents at home, and then go to my stepfather's house to open presents and have lunch, and then back home to chill out. I miss the old days, though! :peace:

I'll be working so yeah technically it will be out of town since I work out of town anyway.
-
My siblings and their spouses are coming for Christmas. My stepsister and her boyfriend are coming as well. We are staying home.
-
I am going to be out of the country for Christmas; I always visit relatives outside of the country during this time (it is almost like a family tradition, LOL).
-
I'll be traveling about 20 miles to my parents' home. My daughter will be in. She lives 120 miles away. That's about the extent of our holiday traveling this year.

I think that his question could be coupled with a few others like "what is your address" and "Do you have a lot of great things that I can steal while you are away". I generally only let my neighbor (good friends) know when we will be out of town. I prefer that my neighbors grab my mail and any deliveries and any of the crummy, little unwanted newspapers that are thrown on our driveway (also a great alert to Burglars that we are not home). I do not post pictures from vacations until I have returned so that crooks do not know that I am away. I like my house and everything that is in it so my answer to the question is: I will not be going out of town-ever. Even if it looks like I am not home...I am. I also have people/police checking my home if I am not home-which never happens.
