There are a few good movies that are always favorites of mine when they are on. I always watch lethal weapon when it is on. that is always a great series. 1-4 :)

I never miss The Wizard of Oz when it is on even though I am 72 years old. It has the best songs, the best acting, the best set designs, a little humor here and there, and a great storyline. Not to mention the great songs like "Over the Rainbow" and "We're Off to See the Wizard"!

star wars classic and raiders

Rambo

I love "Goodfellas." I've seen it 10 times now. My other "bestest" favorites are "It's a Wonderful Life," the original "Miracle on 34th Street" with Natalie Wood, and the original "A Christmas Carol" with Alistair Sims. Sadly, I've missed It's a Wonderful Life 3 years in a row because it's only on one time. Other movies are on weeks at a time near Christmas but not this one. It's only on Christmas Eve and we're holding our Christmas Eve party at that time.

I agree completely, but if you want an emotional trip go see "Judy" (the new film about Judy *Dorothy* Garland), but bring a large box of Kleenex.

I always enjoy A Christmas Carol (with George C. Scott), and my absolute favorite, It's a Wonderful Life! Most movies that I like are pretty old, such as Stella Dallas (or anything with Barbara Stanwyck in it!), or Mildred Pierce (or anything with Joan Crawford in it.) I guess I'm a sucker for the melodramatic acting from back then! Also, I guess I like them more because they're not constantly swearing in them. I'm not a prude, but I get bored hearing words people nowadays use for stand-ins for intelligent words. :peace:

If you're a Barbara Stanwyck fan, you should see Ball of Fire. It's really cute and has lots of character actors in it that you'll recognize. :icon_rr: Plus Gary Cooper as a bonus.

I guess if you are going to watch a movie more than once, than tv is the way to do it. No one may ever know you did it!
-
I love a lot of movies but The Notebook has to be one of my favorites.... Around Christmas time though I love Christmas Vacation or Elf... great laugh!!!
-
Terminator 2, No Country For Old Men, The Matrix, The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Jurassic Park...just to name a few.
-
any of the rambo movies..backdraft with kurt russell is a favorite also...and definitely dirty dancing with patrick swayze

There are a lot of movies I always watch when they are on. Titanic, Forest Gump, Good Will Hunting, Harry Potter, Erin Brockovich. I could go on! However my favorite movie right now is Pitch Perfect :)
-
I am a huge Batman fan, particularly of the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight Trilogy. I can do without Val Kilmer, George Clooney, and Ben Affleck in their respective Bruce Wayne/Batman renditions. They were absolutely horrible. I love Christian Bale as the Dark Knight, however. :)
-
I don't usually watch movies more than once except for Princess Bride.
-
Mean Girls (the original!), Braveheart and the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. THe remake of CCF was good, too, but just can't beat the original imo. Anyone agree?
-
idiocracy, blazing saddles, love comedies
-
Just go with it. I think I may have to buy it again or something in the future. Its a nice Comedy movie.
-
I love a lot of movies, but I have been sitting here enjoying a great movie "Alice Adams (1935), very funny...and serious at the same time..Great actors...
-
Ghost, Jurassic Park, Titanic, any of the Rockys, any Indiana Jones except the second one, Death Becomes Her.
-
I don't have any favorites. But I don't mind watching a movie more than once. My husband doesn't! So it is sometimes difficult to find a movie to watch :(
-
My favorites are Cool Hand Luke, Braveheart, and Rocky 1.
-
My favorite movie will always be "Gone With the Wind." I've read the book several times, and many of the sequels and fan fiction. I don't think I could find stronger, more compelling characters than Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler. They just don't make movies like that any more!
-
Scarface!!!!!!! Every time that is on, I say I am not going to watch it, then 3 hours later I watched it again. lol Always a great time!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Like the many movies. Acrimony Taraji P Henson.
-
The majority of the Rocky movies (with the exception of Rocky 5, ugh) and the Dark Knight Trilogy are some of my favorite movies.
