Do you ever listen to the weather report and think where in the heck do they get their information? Not much in the way of moisture? It's pouring outside. It's cold out? I am running my fan. The humidity is high. I don't even have my heaters on. If it wasn't raining I might have windows open. What the heck are they talking about?
-
That is funny. Fortunately, our weather reports are somewhat spot on.
-
Yes all the time. They are hardly ever right here. Now, the weather people in AZ and CA pretty much have it made. Sunny and hot for the next 365 days and they'd be 90% right.
-
They do not control the weather just report what they see. They can see rain coming and predict it is coming but it can change course or just dissolve. Especially in the summer.
-
In Ga right now the weather is cold, cloudy, and suppose to rain later today, tempts in the high 60's, early this morning I had to stand outside for my appt. until they opened the doors and you could see your breath., and at the same time wishing I had put on 2 pair of socks.

Our weather reports are mostly spot on, though every once in a while they totally miss the mark! I'm so glad the hot, hot weather has stopped. At least now the temperature is livable. What bugs me is the hot then cold then hot then cold weather we have here in Georgia! Oh, well, it is what it is. :peace:

In Florida the weather is up and down as well. We're mostly hot and even when we do cool down, it warms up in the afternoon.

The weather here isn't too hard to predict but all the anchors' attitude about it is annoying like they love to spin any weather condition into bad news, even if those are the exact conditions they were wishing for on a different week when THAT weather was bad news.
-
if it's that bad, then dress lightly take an umbrella and go for a walk.
-
My weather reports here are pretty much right on
-
Their information comes from measurments taken of the atmosphere and satelite imaging and everything of weather in the area. They can see the weather systems and measure wind speeds and atmospheric presure and moisture and a whole bunch of other things and make predictions based off of what they've seen in the past. just predictions though.
-
Our weather reports are usually pretty accurate. Not dead on always, but close.
-
We have to look at 3 different ones to come anywhere close to what happening here on any given day,
-
I usually just look at the weather online anymore. I never really liked the weather people on TV anyway.
-
For the most part, the weather forecasts are pretty accurate for our area. We have a lot of hills and mountains around us that sometimes will affect how the weather hits us.
-
Yes, I do. Sometimes they are on it and others...hmm
-
If our weather forecast is correct, we will be getting SNOW and WIND later today.
We are actually in a Winter Storm WARNING from 3pm this afternoon until 9am tomorrow.
Forecast is for 3-7" of snow with winds as high as 40mph. This make for hazardous driving for anyone who has to be out on the roads.

My app on my phone is always up-to-date.....
-
I get the weather on my phone and my son is always updating me lol.
-
I do this a lot because it can be nice and clear and sunny then around the time its supposed to storm dark gloomy and nasty. Weather is a fickle thing it can fool ya. Its like a person who can't decide what it wants from day to day at times
-
I have been watching when they say it's raining and I look outside and it's not. Go figure.
-
I think the accuracy of the weather forecast has become worse over the years.
-
It must be global warming in which doesn't exist according to the Republicans & the brainless president sitting in the White House.
