I would expect most everyone has heard of the 12 days of Christmas or Twelvetide -- between Dec. 25 and the Epiphany (the arrival of the wise men from the East after 12 days' journey) on Jan. 6 -- the Christian celebration of the Nativity. It has been interpreted to have hidden meanings, sung about, spoofed (all in good fun); nonetheless, respected as the events following the birth of Jesus have been reaffirmed throughout the ages.
As we are now in that period of time, does anyone have any thoughts, serious or otherwise (respectfully, of course), about those gifts named in the song, "The 12 Days of Christmas," starting with that partridge in the pear tree, two turtle doves, three French hens {for example -- representing faith, hope & love}, four calling birds, five gold rings, etc.?

Why dont you read the 2nd chapter of Math and see after the 3 astrologers found Jesus after the star first took them to Jerusalem where the murderous King Herod pretended he also wanted to honor Jesus but really wanted to kill him,and when the 3 didnt return back to him he had every 2 yr old boy murdered in Bethlehem.

So we can discern that Satan put the star in the sky because it took the astrologers to Jerusalem first to confront the murderous Herod.
Note that after Herods men were able to discern Jesus was in Bethlehem and tell him the star moved again right over where Jesus was.Gods angel warned the 3 and Joseph what Herods intentions were.Joseph took Mary and Jesus to Egypt while the 3 left for their country another way.
Herod was incensed when they didnt return back to him and went on his murderous spree.
Just more proof from bible how pagan Xmas is and how a nativity scene turned into murder.

First of all, Satan is not God. The JWs like to refer to him as the 'god of this world', but he is NOT a 'god' and has no power of creation. Only God has the power of Creation (on a cosmic scale) Isaiah 45 should suffice for reference.
But suppose we go with the hypothesis that Satan didn't 'create' the star, yet somehow influenced it/used a deception for it. The answer is plain as day in scripture- Matt 2:1-2
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
Did you catch that? According to the Magi, it was "His star". God's star. Not Satan's.
Reading a little further, verse 12-
And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.
God warns the Magi in a dream NOT to return to Herod who wanted to kill the baby Jesus. If the Magi were used of Satan, why did they
A) Want to worship the King of the Jews (bonus points if you can explain why the Magi worshiped Jesus if He was supposedly "not" God incarnate as the Watchtower proclaims. :D)
B) Obey God and NOT tell Herod where they found Jesus
C) Give Jesus the 3 gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh
The 'Wise Men' served God's purpose by giving Mary & Joseph the necessary funds to flee to Egypt and live there while waiting for Herod to expire.
You may ask "Why did God allow Herod to kill all the baby boys of Bethlehem?" You must first answer Why did God allow the Egyptians to kill all the baby boys of the Hebrews in the book of Exodus? Why does God allow the abortion of millions of babies a year in the U.S. alone? (Answer: Free Will.)
So you see, this is but one of many falsehoods the Watchtower puts forth to their flock, which can be easily explained by a simple reading of scripture.

JWs teach Satan is god <ruler>of this world.Jehovah is the TRUE God and has allowed Satan to rule this world for now to see where we all stand on rightful ruler.
You left out the star took them to Jerusalem immediately...NOT Bethlehem.Satans plan for them to confront the murderous Herod at first to plan his killing of Jesus once they found him.As soon as they got Herods instructions the star moved right over where Jesus was....NOT at first.
The astrologers were blinded by Satan just like Christendom is today.They were wise in the sense they heeded the angels warning not to return back to Herod.

The star didn't appear over Jerusalem. The Magi went there, knowing it was the capitol of the Hebrew Nation, hoping to find some pomp and ceremony regarding Jesus. But as we all know, He was born very low-key in a stable.
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
No mention of the Star appearing over Jerusalem.
And 2nd- The Wise Men DIDN'T go to Herod.They were searching for Jesus and word got out to everybody as evidenced in verse 3-
When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.
Herod specifically had the Wise Men brought to him for questioning. Verse 7-
Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared.
So once again- you have nothing to support your claim scripturally.

Again, you are trying to make the bible say something it isn't saying. The star didn't 'move'. They went to Jerusalem hoping to find Jesus easily by asking around. When it was obvious no one knew what they were talking about, they continued following the Star.
After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.
This doesn't mean it moved. It means they followed it until they came below it's position in the sky. They were happy to receive some Divine guidance, since earthly means wasn't getting the job done.
Remember also, that the Wise Men were searching everywhere and it was Herod who actually named Bethlehem from scripture as the place the Messiah would be born.
He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.”
That's why Herod was a necessary component in God's plan. Without his divulging the information, the Magi would be canvassing aimlessly under the star's radius,(which could've been several miles.) hoping to find Jesus before Herod did.

Jesus dying a criminals death on the cross is also insulting, yet it is the reality of history. Jesus can be depicted in the stable, since it's a biblical fact.
We can infer what the gifts were used for. Thats not a crime.

I'm not writing a book....though I AM considering taking this knowledge I've gained about the JW cult from debating you and creating a video on youtube to help others caught in the Watchtower web. :D

I've already spent hours, days, months---probably years at this point-- pointing out the flaws of the Watchtower. Their teaching is NOT scriptural. Russell was no better than other false teachers that the bible warned us about. It's right there before you, but it's up to YOU to pay heed.

True Christians today manifest unity with Jesus by practicing “the form of worship that is clean and undefiled,” untarnished by the pagan traditions of men.—James 1:27.

The Wise Men did not have the Holy Scripture- thus why they went to Jerusalem, the Hebrew Capitol, to find Him.
There is no scriptural evidence of the star guiding them to Jerusalem, otherwise provide it.
They were not Astrologers they were Astronomers. Yes, there is a difference. They studied the stars, not reading tea leaves. That's how they knew there was a new star to begin with.

There are scriptures that say the meek and the righteous will reside forver on earth anddd God created it to be inhabited.
JW.org does teach 144000 go to heaven to rule with Jesus and the greater flock live on earth transformed to paradise as was original purpose with A&E.

I don't mean to poke you in the nose, but how is it that your organization's position on many of the controversial aspects is: "That's not in the Bible!" ; "Where is that evidenced in Scripture?" ; "The Bible has no basis for that belief or custom!" But in this particular case, the response is "It's in the Bible but it really shouldn't be..."
If the argument is to accept only the parts (an only the interpretations) of the Bible that bolster one's beliefs and reject the parts that do not, then any scriptural argument is nothing but a house of cards.
(Also, you only responded to one of my trinity scripture references. What about the other two that I cited and the plethora of others that I did not?) ;)

I won't pretend to know and fully understand what is yet to come after I die. How can I? It has never happened to me before! I believe and have faith/hope that I will enter into eternal salvation. What happens on earth at that point or to the rest of its 7+billion inhabitants at the time, I have no idea! But I again hope that at some point as many of them as possible (certainly many more than 144,000) share in the joy and happiness that I hope to have at that point.

This is basically what the Watchtower does. 'Lets dismiss all the times Jesus warns of Hell in the bible, because- we don't like that. As for the 1914 reference, yes I did read your jw.org explanation, but I did not find it tremendously convincing since it makes generalized assumptions as to very specific dates (much like the numerous predictions by various religions of the exact date and hour of the armageddon - all of which came and went without incident).
