Unfortunately, you won't get it down fast enough by Friday but find something with plant sterols. That will effectively help lower your cholesterol.

Walking always helps, but that is a long term maintenance; not sure what you can do in such a short time. Good Luck.

It takes time to lower it, but there are many supplements that help. Red rice yeast, garlic parsley capsules, fish or krill oil. Just research on internet and look up on amazon, check people's reviews for things that help too. Hopefully your blood work will turn out OK.

Lowering cholesterol is usually a combination of exercise and eating foods that don't contain the "bad" fats.  Losing weight will help bring it down.  However, be sure to watch your diet.  Omegas, such as in certain fatty fish such as salmon, and "good fats" such as in avocadoes, are also helpful.  If a person has familial hypercholesteremia, it means it tends to run in a family and is much more difficult to deal with.

My doctor gave me Lipitor to lower my high cholesterol. It also helps to lose some weight by diet and exercise if you want to get your cholesterol down without taking pills for it.

cholesterol is measured over a long period of time usually 6 months. there is no quick fix and lower it quickly. you can work on raising your good cholestrol by working out regularly and eating fish and nuts. :rainbow: :peace:

My husband used to forget his meds when he first started having to use them.  I bought a little basket and put the bottles in and left it on the kitchen table in plain site to remind him.  Didn't look pretty but it was more important that he remembered to take them.  It did work and now the basket is on the counter next to the coffee pot.

I love scrambled eggs and a few months back my cholesterol was high too. What I did was cut back on eating eggs and ate oatmeal for breakfast instead and when my doc checked again my cholesterol was low but triglycerides were slightly high. She recommended exercising. Hope this helps!

The internet can give you a lot of information on cholesterol.  What it is, what is good and what is bad and  how to control it.

When you go to your appointment you should ask your doctor about it. They'll be able to tell you what to do to lower and maintain it.
