I understand they want to get their point across that a white police officer purposely murdering a black man (George Floyd) while other officers watched is wrong (I agree that is wrong), but breaking into businesses/wrecking store's personal property and stealing stuff from them during it is wrong, too.
What's everyone else's opinion's on this?
I can't believe they won't do property damage charges against them because of Covid-19.
They need to be punished...not the taxpayers.

I agree about the damage, however, I do not think the protesters are the ones damaging property. There seems to be a mix of a) locals that anticipate chaos and go there to loot/get free stuff, and b) outside instigators who're piggybacking onto the movements in order to use the situations to incite/instigate violence.
If you don't trust the media, trust the people on the front lines. (A few links below for reference):

This is not a protest. This is a bunch of violent thugs destroying property that does not belong to them. Not sure where you get that they won't charge them because of covid? Many were already arrested. Not sure how you can arrest hundreds of people when their face is hidden and you do not know who they are. The violence will continue. The good people are tired of this and some are starting to fight back and defend what is theirs. So it just escalates further.
The "tax payer" won't be on the hook for it. Most will be covered by insurance. But insurance premiums will sky rocket and nobody can afford to pay it. Neighborhoods are destroyed and a lot of businesses have said they will not rebuild where they were. So now those people have no where to shop. The sad thing is a lot of these people are not destroying their own neighborhoods but were bussed in from some where else to do this.

Q13 fox news said that people wouldn't get charged because of Covid-19.
They also said that taxpayers would have to pay for the damage.
Some of the protestors were being violent, damaging police cars/setting other's on fire and stealing stuff out of them including weapons.
I'm sure some of the protestors were in on the damaging and looting the store's also.
I'm not trying to say all of them were.

Well...you're not wrong. As as offshoot of this biblical concept, I will say that unfortunately, wrongful behavior begets wrongful behavior.

Very interesting. I haven't heard of any brick placements in Minneapolis.
We do have this mystery umbrella man clearly inciting violence: https://youtu.be/4vurPRZbLvc
He just walked up, smashed a bunch of windows at the AutoZone and calmly walked away, with a man in a pink shirt following and calling him out. The building was completely destroyed that night.

Well yeah, the media said it so it has to be true....
The media is wrong. People HAVE been arrested. That has been all over the news as well. Tax payers will pay for damage to city or county property but private owned property the tax payers won't pay for it. The people have insurance and it will be turned in on their insurance.
I saw where people were damaging police cars. Or other cars who happen to be on the street. I also saw where cars plowed on thru the crowds. That is what I would do. I certainly am not going to stop.

@imaginarygirl - there was some big deal about brick placement in Minneapolis. I mostly saw people talking about it on Twitter not an actual story where it happened. People were condemning the cops saying they should have went in to that mob of crazy and took the pile of bricks away from them.

I know that the media isn't always telling the truth.
But the news is supposed to tell us what's going on in the world.

Yeah and I remember a time when if it was on the news it was the truth. Everything is said both ways and by the same stations. smh There have been quite a few arrested. They may have been released with a court date. But they were arrested. This is too far out of hand. I don't know how old you are but I remember seeing violence like this on television as a kid, in the middle east, and being told not to worry that won't happen here. I am sure at that time nobody thought it ever would.
I am to the point where I would love to live out in the country, away from people, with a well stocked mini mart, and a way to totally work from home, and not have to venture out because people have straight up lost their minds. In my immediate area nothing is going on. We have NO cases of this "virus" everybody is so freaked out about, and people have gathered and been every where, still no cases. We have not had any violence. People are getting along and as I said earlier even seem to be reaching out to let each other know we are not participating in this nor do we feel the way these "rioters" do.

It has been going on since Cain killed Abel.It wont end till Gods kingdom cleans up the Satanic/manmade mess.
We all have a chance to support what side of the fence we are on.Our lives matter.

I think a lot of people are out there for the wrong reasons! Peaceful protesting is great but don't burn down other peoples business and vandalize and steal.

Destroying businesses, set police cars on fire, or repeat of Rodney king riots! All that participate in the riots/looting should automatically should go to jail of min. of 5 years & pay for the damages!
-
This rioting and looting is really out of control. Innocent people are being hurt by this.

Yes, the Umbrella Guy was the very first incident I heard of. That man in particular was only there to smash the windows and then he left and just walked away from it all. I think people are starting and instigating mob mentality to overshadow the protesters.

Some people don't follow/trust news headlines so I decided to use evidence from people who were at the protests themselves. I think most of the protesters actually go to do just that. In many of the links I posted they can be seen trying to keep the peace and preventing riots. However, in some cases, when outside people start the riots some decide to join the chaos (ie. mob mentality).
I have seen many people jump on active cop cars which is definitely crazy! On the other hand, here is another link that also shows old cop cars being placed in the middle of protest areas. I wonder why...:

Oh, well, we all know Fox always knows what it's talking about. Make sure you watch a variety of channels and do some reading of the major newspapers. You will learn much more that way!
