Hurricane Isaias is supposed to come right over us in northern NJ this afternoon and evening. I am really concerned about it because it is predicted to dump 3-4 inches of rain on us and I am sure that will flood my basement real good. I am going to set up a dehumidifier to help with that.
-
We are supposed to get the affects later this afternoon. Good luck with your basement. I know how it is to get water in the basement :sad1:

Here in PA it’s pouring. We are suppose to continue with this rain until tonight. Like you braggin we are also suppose to getting 3 to 4 inches.
-
No but if it is impacting NJ that could be why something I have ordered that has been sitting in NJ for days is not moving.
-
Here is VA is pouring we have had a few Tornado warnings and we are under Flood Warning for most of the Northern Virginia Area, DC and part of MD. Also the coast.
-
Here in western MA we have tornado warnings. Stay safe all.
-
I am happy to report that the tornado have not impacted us here in Georgia. Everyone stay safe.

I'm in PA too. It started raining around midnight last night and it was steady all night. It is now 1:30 Wed. afternoon and the rain finally over. Didn't get any wind but we're still under flash flood warning until 11:30 p.m. tonight. Usually when there's a heavy downpour, our driveway turns into a river, but it didn't this time. Odd. No rivers running down the street either, but we've been really, really hot and no rain for over a week, so the ground probably soaked it up immediately.

We live in central Florida and we escaped with just a few heavy rains but no flooding. Good luck to you. I hope and pray you will escape the flooding.

Sfreeman, It’s still raining here, but it has slowed down a little. Sadly I’ve been hearing lots of sirens and saw fire trucks going up and down the street a lot. Hope you and everyone stayed safe.

We got rain this morning but it's cleared up and the sun is out. It's cooler which is good and there's a nice breeze.
-
We got heavy rain in some parts of MD last evening and were under a flash flood warning in some area of the state; sun is out now so hopefully things have passed on. Everyone be safe.

Hurricane Isaias isn't impacting us here. I wonder if it might over time.
-
Sorry to everyone who's getting hammered by the storm. I hope you stay safe and the flooding isn't too bad.
-
Two people from my community died from the storm. One died as her car was swept away and another died while walking and the water swept her also. So very scary and sad
-
We lost electricity for 12 hours yesterday and the wind blew a lot of sticks in our yard. overall we were lucky because a few people lost electricity for a couple of days and had large trees go down in there yard.

I want to share this site: https://poweroutage.us/
Very useful for weather related outages across the US.
I would have been impacted by this, but moved to the southwest, used to live right there in its' path!
These two people lucked out, yes??
-
we have had a lot of rain and thunderstorms the last few days
-
no we are safe.

JUST FYI, I looked it up since it's a posting on FC:
"(CNN)The ninth named storm of the year is headed for the Florida coastline, but unlike its predecessor, Hanna, this time the pronunciation isn't as clear -- at least to non-native Spanish speakers.
But no sweat -- we're here to explain just how to say the newly formed hurricane's name.
Hurricane Isaias is pronounced ees-ah-EE-ahs, according to the Atlantic Basin Storm Name Pronunciations guide.
WFTV Meteorologist Irene Sans tweeted a video on just how to say it."
