I've been getting checked for years, and due to breast density had a ultrasound today. Hope everyone is keeping track on their health. It's scary but necessary. God Bless. :star:  :angel11: :female: :female:

Hope it turns out good for you. A lot of women can't afford to have them and contrary to what some people think it is not free if you don't have insurance.

Yes I do. Have relatives who have had it.
-
I haven't had one for 2 years now, I need to get back in the swing of things. And yes you can get one for free !
-
Everyone PLEASE get one. I always got one each year, so I figured it was ok to skip a year, had a lot to do. Well one year kind of went into two, and two went into three. I finally got one, and found out I had breast cancer, stage 3. After a double mastectomy , 4 months of chemo, 36 radiation treatments, and reconstructive surgery I am now so scared it might travel someplace. Please don’t be like me, go yearly it only takes a few minutes, please.

But if it is all gone from that area it can't go anywhere else can it? In a way though it seems like once people have cancer it is more likely to show up other places even if it is gone the one. I had a distant family member that it several places. Once it would be gone there then a few years later it shows up some where else.

Yes, my doctor recommended a screening once a year since I am over 40 years old. I think it is very important and I have been doing that for the past few years.

It can spread. Before I had this cancer I had ovarian cancer and had to have a complete hysterectomy, this was devastating as I had 2 beautiful girls who I loved more than life but wanted so badly to give my husband a son. We weren’t done we had always wanted 4 kids. Breast cancer can spread to any part of your body, but it usually will spread to bones, lungs, or brain the quickest.

I know it can spread. I was meaning if you think it is gone or if they say it is gone can it still spread? There is a lady at church who had cancer, they thought in one place, and they thought they were getting it and it was going away. She was having pain somewhere else and they have found she has it in several more parts of her body. I am not sure if they are going to be able to do anything.

I go yearly for mind, I pray every time that everything is ok. Still praying.

That’s true, it can spread again. No I can’t ever get breast or ovarian cancer as both are removed and I have reconstructive *bleep*. I had a friend who had breast cancer stage 3 ( like mine), however after a few years it spread to her bones ( which now made it stage 4). She had meds and chemo and lived another 2 years until sadly she lost her battle.

smh I have seen people use actual curse words and they show up and you say br-e-ast and it gets bleeped? Good grief.
I am not sure you are understanding what I am asking. If you had br-ea-st cancer and they removed it and it is completely gone. No more. Is it more possible you will get it again somewhere else? Because if that is gone it can't spread. It is gone. Right? I know my aunt she would beat it and it would show up somewhere else a few years later. I wonder if it had something to do with where she worked for many years in her younger days.

I had one a couple of months ago. A few years back I had a scare. They found a spot on my breast so I had a needle biopsy done. Fortunately it was not cancer.

It is ridiculous to bleep br ea st. They removed all cancer from my *bleep* when they removed the *bleep*. Sadly it did attack my lymph noids (which are all through your body). That is why I had chemo and radiation. They are hoping they killed all the lymph noids but there is no way to know. If it is in them and they become active and travel then it will show up somewhere else. That then would become stage 4. According to my oncologist no matter where it spreads, say to my brain, it’s not considered brain cancer but will remain stagec4 breast cancer. I hope this helps

I am waiting as well. If everything fine, they normally send a card in the mail. With faith, you are ok. :-)
