Title: Postage delays
Post by: ktheodos on December 15, 2020, 04:20:07 am
Has anyone noticed more of that lately? I have two packages that I have been waiting for for over a week....not that I'm desperate for them, just find it interesting....

Fortunately I have only had one package that was delayed for a few days, but it has come now.  I have finished my shopping so I don't have to worry.  My daughter however has had some delayed and she is concerned that they will not come in on time.

It's Christmas rush.  The news is warning that today (15th) is the day all packages should be mailed if you want them before on for Christmas.

All my Christmas packages have been delivered.  But I ordered something for myself from Burts bees and haven't received it yet.  I think I should check with them.  I'm here all the time, so don't think it would be porch thieves  ???

I make memory quilts and had a client send me her clothing on Dec. 1st. The package still has not arrived and it has dropped off of tracking and disappeared. I feel awful for her. No one is the blame, but this poor womans shirts are out there somewhere and usually it is the memorys of a loved one. I hope it arrives eventually and I can make the item for her.

The postal service told me (and her) that they have packages just sitting in warehouses that they cant get to deliver. It is frustrating at best.

We have had this happen with 2 packages. The company says that the system is not updating because of covid. I am not stupid. The packages are sitting there not moving. The system updates automatically when the packages are scanned.  At least it is not just me.  I am seriously thinking of ordering something else today.  I am suppose to get 2 day delivery but with the weekend probably won't get until Monday since UPS does not run on the weekend.

Assuming it is left on the porch. Our Fedex throws packages out in the front yard near the road and at the mailbox. They are extremely LAZY.   I have never ordered from Bert's Bees.  I love their products.  Do they offer free shipping?

All my Christmas packages have arrived on timed.  I was waiting for one for myself, until I realized I never completed the original order.  SO now I have done so and am waiting for one that isn't important date-wise ;)

What I have noticed is it is taking the letter mail a long time to get to place.

This problem has been since Trump got involved with the Post Office.  I've waited weeks to get mail ever since then.  I even talked with our mail carrier about it since that time.

Yes.  All this man has done in office is to create a lot of chaos.  Yet his followers flock to him.  Like Manson and his followers.  He has them all brainwashed.

I had two packages given to UPS then transferred to the post office for delivery.  I tracked it and they were in our post office, they sat there for 2 days, then they were in Philadelphia ( 50 miles away), sat there for another day, then came back to our post office.  One week later I finally got the packages.

I got one of the 2 MIA.  And the system did not update until I got it so maybe the other one that is MIA will arrive soon.  Then I have 2 more and they are suppose to be here Monday.  Even though one has not even shipped. lol
But it is 2 day shipping. As long as I have it by Tuesday I will be okay.

Today is Sunday.  Last week out of 6 days we received mail exactly 2 days.  I thought maybe it was just me, but talking to my neighbors everyone only received mail 2 days.

I finally got the package (for myself) that I had been waiting for.  Realized I hadn't completed the order and that's why it wasn't coming.  Went online - placed the order and it was her in record time. ;)

Do you think the mail carrier is not running in your area?  The mysterious package I had mailed to someone in the same town shows it was delivered today. I have not talked to her so I don't know if she actually got it. I don't get mail every day and have not in forever so that is not a big deal. You can sign up for "informed delivery" with the usps and you can see what is coming to you. And what you should have received that day.

You are both so full of bullspit; LOL! I thought I had seen it all with the impeachment hoax and blaming Trump for COVID, but now we are seriously blaming typical and routine holiday mail delays by the post office on Trump?

I'm surprised that you guys aren't blaming Trump for getting Reagan and the two Bushes elected before him!

But for you to call us brainwashed is so outrageously laughable. There has never been a better illustration of the concept of a pot calling a kettle black.

I had a package that was suppose to be delivered Dec 2.  I finally got it 2 days ago. I think most of the problem is people working for USPS are angry at the world and just don't care.

I'm not expecting anything so can't relate to your question.  Seems lime after the  holidays, things should be back to normal though.

I never knew about that, thanks I will sign up.  Yesterday I got a Christmas card from my brother in Florida.  It was postmarked December 19.

I finally got my clients clothing after 3 weeks, and had another package take 2 weeks. My parents sent us a Christmas card (not even a package) 3 weeks ago and it still isnt here. ugh

Wow, I am glad we pay almost all our bills by auto pay. That could really result in a lot of fees and maybe shut offs. Its now been a month since my parents since their Christmas Card with our gift in it. I wonder if we will ever actually get it?

I have used "Informed Delivery" for years, but Utilized it's undelivered option this week.  Something from SS showed in the images but never arrived so tagged it.  It only took one day and it was "redelivered" all is well.

It has a great tracking option too for packages, and text notifications so you can be home when the package arrives.

Have noticed delays in the mail including recently into January. I am more relaxed about it as I know that the USPS is working their hardest and hopefully it will become better soon.

Working their hardest is unacceptable and not true. It should not take 3 weeks for a letter or package to go across town.  I don't know what the problem is but I know with other carriers like FedEx they just flat out do not care. They throw stuff every where. Our delivery drivers throw it out in the yard near the mailbox.

I have been charged a late fee on one of my bills because it took nearly a month for my payment to arrive via the mail.
