recalled Hot PocketsThose Hot Pockets in your freezer could contain something more dangerous than piping hot cheese.
Approximately 762,615 pounds of the recalled Hot Pockets were shipped to stores across the country.
Nestlé Prepared Foods is recalling certain pepperoni Hot Pockets over concerns they may be contaminated with pieces of glass and hard plastic, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced Friday.

I stopped eating those years ago.
-
I have not had one in years, they where good for a quick meal while I worked.

Thanks for the info - how does something like that happen and they find out about it after they have shipped the product
-
Interesting....I have not had those in a while, but thanks for the information!!
-
I don't eat hot pockets, but my step grandson does. I will have to get my daughter to check into this. Thanks for the information.

I read that story online earlier this morning. I'm so glad that I don't eat them.

I have a real need to know how your product can be full of glass and big pieces of plastic. Unless it was done on purpose there is no way for this to accidentally happen.
Thanks for the info - how does something like that happen and they find out about it after they have shipped the product
Most times they don't find out there is an issue until they start receiving complaints. They do check the product all throughout the shift with some checks happening as often as every 10 minutes. The food products are suppose to be checked every hour. As in you pull a product off the shelf, cut it open, and someone tastes of the product. So they should notice if there is an issue. But I know of something that happened once where red peppers were put in a product instead of green ones and this went on for over a shift and a half. So explain to me how NOBODY in Quality Control did not notice the wrong color of pepper was being used for almost 16 hours!

Saw them advertised last night and thought they looked good. Haven't had any for a long time. Guess I'll wait longer :o

I lived on hot pockets while in college, how sad.
-
That's why. A friend asked me today if I read in the news about Hot Pockets. I said that I didn't know. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Many products get recalled these days. It is important to keep up with information because you never know when they might recall something you have in your refrigerator at home.
-
Thanks for the heads-up. I will have to check out the other info also
-
Haven't had one for months and wasn't really planning on buying one but this will definitely deter me from doing so.
-
Every so often there is a recall and it's almost hard to keep up with. I no longer eat hot pockets.
-
I just read the article yesterday. I still really like the Hot Pockets brand and found their products to be convenient and high quality. I think I will continue to buy afterwards.
