And I’m really, really scared for them! My parents are in their 70’s & 80’s with pre existing illnesses with tons of medications taken daily! My mom also takes something for panic attacks. After learning about deaths happening after getting the vaccine &/or dying weeks later after getting the vaccine is terrifying to me! :crybaby2: :crybaby2:

I hope it goes well! I trust the vaccine is safe and it's likely that some of those deaths are due to other factors besides the vaccine....

Not meant to be insensitive here, but isn't the chance of death from them actually getting COVID more terrifying and a higher risk? I took my 80+ year old mom to get the vaccine yesterday and it was a no brainer for her or me.

i understand your concern. I typically don't like vaccines. But after seeing how this virus affects people and how they die from it it is one vaccine i will take a chance on. i am not as old as your parents but i am at high risk. hope this helps. :rainbow: :peace:

Tantricia your feelings are understood by me.I have mentioned i dont like getting novacaine at the dentist.
I certainly am not against the vaccine.I am procrastinating RE it.Since last March i have been extremely vulnerble to catching the virus when my spouse had it.I have never been tested and have gone by how i feel.I continue to put emphasis on Pro-biotics and vitamins and wear a mask and social distance when i need to.
Im just taking it a day at a time and hope the vaccine helps those that use it.
If i find myself with my back to the wall maybe then i will lose the fear of receiving it.I will also turn to JW.org and hear what they say on the matter cos I know you will get truth there.
The best to all of you.

Before this year I have never got any kind of vaccine other than the DPAC. I got that because my daughter had a baby and I was keeping the baby for her to work. I had heard that it was important if you were going to be around babies to have the vaccine for the whopping cough. This year my doctor suggested the flu shot and the pneumonia shot, so I took them.

I was on the fence, but after watching my best friends daughter fighting COVID. In the hospital ICU, very critical, finally released however she now has major lung conditions and a heart problem, She is 39 and was in great health. She is an ICU nurse in COVID unit in one of our hospitals where she got it. She is still out of work and extremely weak and tired. She was released 3 weeks ago. Now I’m leaning on getting the shot.

I understand completely. It is very scary to take what is essentially an untested vaccine. It hasnt even been tested on animals like most vaccines are; so we are basically g. pigs. I think you have to let your folks do what they feel is best and pray that it turns out ok. Unfortunately the vaccine isnt to prevent Covid, but to lesson the symptoms. I will pray that your parents are ok.

i understand your concern but it's their decision to make. I'm sure they will be fine and they may have some side effects but they should go away in a few days.

I feel your pain and I'm sorry. Our whole family is avoiding that vaccination like the plague; pun intended.
Keep us posted about the after-effects they experience.

Still trying to get an appointment to get the shot. Most of my friends who got the shot is fine and doing ok.

That's great. My mom is scheduled to get vaccinated (for her first shot) this upcoming Saturday. My dad has a cough now so we are hoping he will get vaccinated after he recovers.
-
I pray that there are no side affects for them. I plan to get the vaccine when they are available in our area

Hope it works out for them but the vaccine is difficult to get according to the news with so many people in line for hours and some getting turned away.

Just read on Facebook today not to take ibrophen or Tylenol before you get the shot. Could interfere with effectiveness.

wow... so sorry..hope they get well soon
