Title: Medicare Premiums to rise 14.5%

So instead of $148+ per month they will be deducting $170+ ..  Now, based on the 2023 COLA, how much do you think we'll get to keep of the annual cost of living increase?  Answer, less than half.

That is just awful. My Husband is on Social Security and Medicare and it is hard now to keep our Bills paid.

That is so not fair.  Last year we got a good raise, but Medicare went up and took part of the raise.  I hope they give us a good raise this year if they are going up again.  It is hard enough as it is to pay bills because everything has gone up so much.

It is amazing how you can work 30-40 years paying to receive an SS check and the government still stick it to you by deducting $170 out of the check every month.  The government gets you while you work and then again after retiring.

No, this was announced in 2021, if no change happens, it WILL happen prob in 2023:

Medicare Part B premiums to increase 14.5% in 2022 | 13 Nov 2021 | The Biden administration has announced that Medicare Part B premiums will increase 14.5% in 2022. The 14.5% increase will raise the standard monthly premium from $148.50 this year to $170.10 in 2022, according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Service. The increase is higher than an earlier estimate of $158.50 for the standard premium for 2022, CNBC reported. The Medicare Part B annual deductible will also increase in 2022 to $233 from $203 this year, according to CMS's latest announcement.
