Which do you prefer? I have worn contact lenses since I was 16 .... and that has been a long time :)
;)
-
I prefer glasses. I have tried to put contacts on before and it didn't work out for me, because I am a blinker. I can't hold my eyes open long enough to put the contact in my eye, because I am constantly blinking.
-
I wear both-glasses and contact lenses. Although I do wear my glasses more often now than contact lenses.
-
I wear glasses. I used to wear contacts but my eyes started itching and burning and I got some nasty stuff in my eyes.
-
I wear contacts most of the time. Glasses sometimes on the weekends if my eyes feel "tired"
-
I've been wearing contacts for more than 4 years already, and i recently got the new daily contacts and they were so thin that when i was taking them off, i thought i had moved my contact to the white area when i pulled it, and it was the white tissue of my eyeball being pulled. It was sort of elastic and i freaked out! but now its all good, i got used to them and i throw them out every day
-
I've considered trying contact lenses, but my husband has told me that when he tried them, he got an infection that could have damaged his eyesight. He decided not to push his luck and tossed out the contacts!!
-
I stick strictly with glasses, just about everyone I've ever met says I look better with them and I definitely agree. while my fiance wears both. mainly his contacts.
-
I think contacts lenses are better than glassess thought.
-
I wear neither :P
-
I wear both. I wear my glasses when I'm working and contacts on my off days. I still have to wear reading glasses when I wear my contacts though.
-
Glasses always look more professional to me, depending on the style.
-
I wear both, and my preference depends on what I'm doing. As far as comfort goes, I give the nod to glasses- my contacts always get sticky and dry after a while.
-
I wear neither, but if I did wear glasses or contact lenses I will have to go with glasses because it seems more stylish, and easy to wear.
-
I've tried both, but since I work with a lot of chemicals I need to wear glasses. Contacts are dangerous since chemicals accumulate behind them and overexpose your eyes.
-
dont wear either, but i could never put contacts in my eyes....i just have an eye thing...ick!
-
i used to wear contacts but now that i don't work i can't justify the cost of them. so i wear my glasses... sometimes. i know i should wear them all the time but they're only good for distance and since i'm usually at home i don't really see the need for them. also, my toddler likes to pull them off my face so if i did wear them all the time that would increase the chances of her breaking them and then i wouldn't have them for when i did need them.
-
they both drive me super dupper insane
-
I had contact lenses but they started to bother me, so now Im back to wearing glasses 8)
-
Glasses, I cannot stand to put anything in my eyes, not even visine, I always miss.
-
:thumbsup:I wear both, but mostly just glasses, because they are more comfy.
-
i really wish i had laser vision correction instead of these stupid glasses and with contacts im not gonna keep poking my eyes
-
I wear glasses all the time now. I have bifocals so glasses work the best.
When I was younger, I had hard contacts.
-
I wear glasses. Have done so since I was 18. Don't think I could put contacts in.

I'm all about my contacts!
-
That is a question that I have to figure out each morning. I wear both and switch back and forth depending on what is going on.
On busier days, I prefer to wear contacts. They are definity not in the way and makes life at the office alot easier than having to adjust he bulky glasses. For me, wearing contacts prevents the headache that i occassionally get from wearing glasses. My face is less oily when i wear glasses because it's not heavy on my face. I get the convenience of not having to worry about it dropping to the ground when I'm picking up things. However, wearing contacts consistently will give me eye problems. It's makes my eyes dry and I can't seem to them moist. They are prone to infections as well.
Wearing glasses is a good way to give your eyes a break from the contact lense inserting in the eye socket each day. Sometimes when the days are longer then 10 hours at work, it's definitely a wise decision to wear glasses. I can take off the glasses and give my a break from the screen. Take a power nap or close my eyes a break. I don't have to worry about my glasses irriating my eyes when I'm driving and be blind from one side if a lash is stuck in the eye. It's a hassle to worry about what would happen if a contact lense fall out during work. I get the break from having to check for dust particles or other things that gets in the way. With glasses, I take them off and just give them a good wipe to clean them. No more carrying solution in my purse (in case).
I don't know what I would do if I didn't have both contact lense and glasses.
-
I have both but i prefer contacts except for today i have pink eye lol.. have to wear my glasses lmao.
-
i have both but i prefer.. idk...depends. when im at home i use my glasses or when i get pink eyes. when im out i use my contacts
-
I have both but I screwed up my eyes by wearing them for like 6 or 7 days at a time without taking them out. Now I can barely wear them for 18 hours straight before I have to take them out :(
-
I wear only glasses and have been using them since I was in 6th grade. I'm 29 now. For a brief period in the mid-90's I experimented with wearing soft contacts for activities such as sports. If I used nothing, I couldn't see things very well, and the prescription goggles were kind of cumbersome, weird feeling, and gave me headaches. I tried very hard to get used to contacts, but just couldn't. I ended up just using no vision correction when I played. Probably didn't help my performance, but I wasn't going to be playing in college or was pro bound anyway. :P
-
glasses. I can't tolerate contacts and my eyes are not all that bad so I prefer the glasses. I also need/want the anti-glare features of glasses and that has been a tremendous help for me.
-
It is funny that I have came across this topic. I have an eye appointment tomorrow afternoon and will probably asked if I prefer contacts or glasses. I dont think that I could touch my eye haha, therefore, I think I will be sticking it with the Glasses!
-
I wear both but really only need them for driving. For the last year or so I only wear a contact in one eye. Otherwise it is hard to read fine print. Takes a little getting use to at first but works well. Prescription is roughly the same in both eyes so I can switch if I need to. Half the cost. I also try to never sllep with them in as I've had some problems doing that.
-
I got contacts about 7 years ago and have loved them. It was hard at first getting used to sticking something into my eye but now I hate wearing my glasses. Most of the time, I don't even realize I have anything in. I see so much better because I don't have to worry about my glasses getting dirty or being scratched or glare. And most of all, if it rains, I can still see and I can wear sunglasses now.
-
I had glasses until when I was 12 or 13 and I wear contact lenses now. I don't even know where my glasses are.
-
I dont like contacts..theyre to much of a hassel..ive had glasses since i was in second grade and i like em...ive had contacts before and i dnt like them..they just didnt work for me
-
glasses contacts dry out and hurt my eyes
-
I don't use either, but if I had to, I would prefer contacts.
-
LOL i was just thinking about this last night!!! Wow, alright well i prefer my contacts over glasses because i dont have to worry about keeping something on my face,i have FULL vision with contacts instead of being forced to look through a constricted lense. When it rains glasses fog up realllll bad lol, ive gotten lost before. But i dont take my contacts out, their supposed to come out every night for liek 6 hours n soak but i keep em in till they fall out or i feel they need to come out. The doc told me my eyes arnt that bad so i dont worry about it. Plus if i were getting robbed i would rather wake up and have the same advantage as the person doing it, without glasses.(just an example) Sight first.
-
I don't need glasses, but if I did I would want contact lenses.
-
I have never tried contact lenses. I am perfectly happy with my glasses.
-
Glasses. I wore contacts before but there is a lot of hassle
-
I prefer contacts but glasses do come in handy.
-
neither - have lens implants - about the price of a small car - but could not drive without them - go figure - IMHO >> In My Humble Opinion - The MUSEUM, Zazzle, deviantART, ArtFire, FineArtAmerica

I wore glasses for 5 years and I kept getting headaches. I got to where I could'nt stand them touching my face. I made the switch to contacts and I have done great with them for the past 8 years.
-
Heh, I've tried contacts, rather irritating.... so unless laser eye surgery is available for me, I'm sticking with my glasses.
-
I only wear glasses for night driving and reading or sewing
-
I've worn glasses since I was about 5 years old. I used contact lenses when I was 17 until I was 19. I was amazed at how much more clearer I could see. Soon enough though, the contacts would get so dry that they would actually get stuck in my eyes. They never hurt before it was too late. I actually ended up tearing the lenses in half several times trying to get them out. It got really bad for me. I kind of want to try again, but I remember how painful it was when that happened and I can't bring myself to do it.
-
I wear glasses only right now but I want to get contacts soon because I am always losing my glasses.
-
I wear contact lenses daily. Every now and then I'll wear my glasses to give my eyes a break.
-
Right now I have glasses only, but I used to wear contact lens.I don't wear contact lens anymore because I had to pay for both glasses and contact lens.
-
colored contacts
-
Glasses ;D
-
Glasses definitely, for me. Contacts hurt my eyes. :crybaby2:
-
Glasses guy all the way, I can't put contacts in because I can't touch my eye or maybe I am just afraid to : )
-
Glasses although I wouldn't mind trying contacts
-
Glasses. My eyes are too sensitive for contacts.
-
I prefer contacts but i cant put them in my sensitive eyes so i wear glasses but i'm thinking about getting lasics
-
I wear both but I prefer to wear my contacts over glasses. I just do not think I look good in glasses.
-
glasses now.....have to have bifocals since I have over 50 eyes.
-
I prefer glasses over contact lenses. I am weary of putting anything on my eye because my eyes are extremely sensitive to dirt, dust, and eye chemical solutions.
-
I prefer wearing glasses instead of contacts. I don't like the idea of touching my eyes.
-
It depends for me because i need something, i am blind as a bat, my hubby is always asking me what do i see, if i am not wearing contacts or glasses and he just laughs, ok 20/20 I perfer getting surgery, yea right I am too scarrd, lol sticking w/ the contacts for now - i will let my fc fam know when i get the surgery
-
I wear both. I usually wear contacts when I go out and wear glasses when I'm at home. Pretty much a habit now :3
-
I prefer glasses. My vision is not that bad (at least not yet) and I'm always concerned those things would get lost in my eyeballs.
-
I tried to use contacts but without any success so sticking to glasses!
:angel12:
-
I like my glasses much better. I tried contacts for a few months and I found them to be really uncomfortable.
-
Contacts, i look terrible with glasses, but sometimes contacts are annoying to put in allllll the time.
-
i wear glasses because i only need then for far distances. i wore contact for awhile when i was a teen but as an adult i decide they weren't really worth the trouble (and cost) because i only needed them for distances.
-
I prefer glasses. I have worn glasses for seventeen years.
-
I rather wear contact lens when i go out because i feel more confident with out glassed. But after awhile i got lazy putting my contacts on everyday. Now i wear my glasses all the time. I do prefer contact lens though.
-
glasses, cause contacts can smother your eyes . not enough oxygen to them. they breathe like we do. had that happen to my mom she went to glasses a year ago after 30 yrs of contacts and her vision improved injust a yr.
-
I just wear glasses, never tried contact lenses.
-
Glasses for me! I've tried wearing contacts off and on over several years.....trying different brands. They always seem to dry my eyes out really badly, no matter how often I use rewetting drops. So I stick with my glasses!

-
contacts because i can sleep in them and wake up and see without blurry "where are my glasses!?" :crybaby2:
-
I don't use either, but I would choose glasses. Based on some of my friend's experiences, it seems that contacts can be quite troublesome
-
I used to wear glasses and I do when I'm really tired or I'm at home for the day but I love my contacts!
-
Glasses always look more professional to me, depending on the style.
I wear both and like them both, but I wear my contacts more then I do my glasses. I have been wearing them since 1982 and I am 79 yrs young.
-
I wear glasses. I used to wear contacts but my eyes started itching and burning and I got some nasty stuff in my eyes.
I wear glasses too. I have a problem of dry eyes... and itchy too.
-
Which do you prefer? I have worn contact lenses since I was 16 .... and that has been a long time :)
;)
Glasses, they're easier to find.
-
Contact lenses because I love sunglasses!!
-
In general, contacts are better since you don't need to worry about breaking them and no one really seems to care. However, glasses are so much easier to use, so I vote glasses.
-
GLASSES NOW THAT I'M OLDER I USE TO WEAR CONTACTS BUT ALL THE CLEANING AND OTHER SOLUTIONS WERE A HASSLE.
-
glasses tend to make someone stand out in a crowd. I like both but don't wear either!!!
-
I wear glassses. It is alot easier to wear them at 2 am when working than contacts.
