My husband and I are going to go to Hawaii if I ever recover from this back problem. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on which island to stay on? I wish I were there now ..... it is about 7 degrees here this am.

My husband and I went to Oahu many years ago. We drove the road to Hana and went to the top of Haleakala Crater. We also flew to big island to see Pearl Harbor.
It was a business trip so he had meetings, etc. and time was not solely our own; but it was awesome.
Hope your back problem improves so you can go!
P.S. We are in a winter advisory today with a blizzard conditions expected tonight. I'd love to go to Hawaii with you!

My brother got married in Maui about ten years ago. I took the road to Hana and was totally bored by it. I think it's much more scenic to drive up north in Minnesota. Seeing volcanoes is always cool though. If you like snorkeling and playing in the ocean, it's a great place for that. One of the negatives is that it's very expensive.

get a condo or a smaller residence off the main island.

Thank you for the input. It will actually be our honeymoon. We were married in September but have not been on a trip because of my back pain. I am praying the physical therapy works and I will be laying in the sun soon!

right after 9-11 celebrity cruise line flew us out to meet the cruise ship for $99 each - we cruised 4 islands for 2 weeks - liked the big island best - then we cruised back to Vancouver and the northwest passage for 2 more weeks before flying back to Denver from vancouver - great trip - try to get to the honeymooner's falls - think you might have a great memory there - IMHO >> In My Humble Opinion - The MUSEUM, Zazzle, deviantART, ArtFire, FineArtAmerica

whale watching -- we did some charter boat thing for whale watching and it was the best -- we saw so much in terms of whales and dolphins - it was so much fun and I loved the luau (how do you spell that?)

My husband and I took a 7 day cruise around all the islands for our 25th wedding anniversay. I liked them all. I thought Maui was especially beautiful.

Not yet, and don't know if that will ever happen, it isn't on my priority list, anyway, or wasn't now I am thinking.

I have never been to Hawaii but I really want to go. What are some of the good sites and places that are must visits?

I used to live in Honolulu. Different islands offer different things. If you are looking for a more urban area go for Oahu. If you are looking for more quite nature surroundings go for Maui or Kauai.
