A gallon of soap?  Is that from Sam's Club or some other box store?  I'd be afraid it would be too heavy for me to pour into a little container for the bathroom but it would sure would be handy to have around.

We have both in our shower.

I use Purpose bar soap per my dermatologist to wash my face.

I like body soap for all other parts :)

For a long time, I was using bar soap.  It had a great smell but I noticed that it was leaving my skin dry.  One of the other thing I noticed is that the bar soap left terrible soap scum on the shower wall and floor.  When I switched to Body Wash, my skin did not dry out and the soap scum was no longer there.

I prefer body wash over bar soap. Because body wash leaves my skin feeling silky and smooth, and for certain soaps it sometimes leave my skin feeling dry, itchy, and rough; but I only use it in the shower and to wash my hands.

MY family and I prefer body wash it is easier to use for quick shower. I have little ones that like the bubbles it makes in the bath water too. The best body wash is the 3 in one kind .

I have both in my bathroom and use both, however, I am addicted to body washes/scrubs with the lufa. I feel it cleans and purifies your skin better than just washing with bar soap. I feel, Bar soap cannot scrub you like a body wash (with scrubs inside) can.

Body wash...It lasts longer and doesn't make that melted soap mess that has to be cleaned up...eventually...

I use body wash because that is what is at my brothers house he has bar soap but I like the body wash my sister in law sells avon so she gets this skin so soft original shower gel and it helps with the ticks and chiggers they don't bit me as ofter.  So that is what I use.

Regular bar soaps dry my skin out and don't really clean as well. I use body wash and body scrubs.

I'm a huge addict of liquid soap. It's easier to use then bar soap, and you can use a sponge which makes things go faster with cleaning.
