Why buy a pair of shoes for $300 to walk to work when I can buy a very nice $300 bicycle to ride to work. :)

Of course I'd never buy there to wear BUT there are plenty of shoe collectors out there, like how someone else might collect certain knickknacks or model vehicles or something, so it makes since for them. I'm assuming the shoes were really meant for collectors.
Even if I could, I wouldn't buy them just because... Lebron... bleeeeghhhh

Holy smokes, NO WAY would I pay $300 for any pair of shoes, regardless of what name was on them. I have better things to do with $300.00

I would never spend $300 on a pair of shoes. That is ridiculous. I have a hard time shelling out $100 for my running shoes as it is, and I wear the heck out of those.

No way I would pay that much for shoes. That's the majority of my house payment a month. lol At the rate I wear out shoes, they would have to be indestructible for me to even consider paying more than $50 or so for a pair. I guess if LeBron likes them, he can afford to buy them all if no one else will.

I don't think spending 300.00 on sneaker is such a great idea especially with the way the conomy is. I always look at things with regard to what they equal in gallons of milk for my kdis that that's almost 30 gallons. So, do we eat sneakers, or drink milk?

I'd have a hard time paying that kind of money for any shoes. Only ones I would consider paying that money for would be my figure skating boots.

There is no way on earth that I would pay $300 for a pair of NIKE shoes. I don't care whose style or name is on them I would not spend $300. I would rather spend that $300 on something more practical and necessary.

I would never spend that much on shoes. I felt like $120 was too much when I needed to get some running shoes, much less $300.

No way. but i have seen kids get their way and mom and dad buy them, takes them about a month and poof tore up. What a waste. I can think of a lot better ways of spending that kind of money.

I am saving my f.c cashout for it! Just kidding that's crazy. They were talking about that on tmz and I'm like no way. In certain cities people will beat you up and rob you for stuff like $300 shoes and it's not even worth it. For that price I can buy way more.

NO WAY!!! I never spend nearly that much for any shoes or clothes. I could use $300 for so many other things that are way more important that somebody's name on a pair of shoes, like food or gas.

Most I ever paid was 80 bucks for a good pair of basketball shoes in my Sr year of high school. At least since I was the starting point guard, it was somewhat worth it. Now I won't buy anything besides wal-mart shoes...and I make good money

I like to buy things on sale or discount, so even if I had the money, I would not spend it on tennis shoes or any other shoes. The shoes don't make you improve in sports.

I wouldn't buy shoes for that much...I think it would have to be a status thing, much like those gucci bags. It's much cheaper to buy other generic brand shoes.

No, but when I was in school I use to make my mom buy nike shoes for me for around 80.00. I don't spead much over 30.00 now for shoes ever. :notworthy:

Never. Unless this shoe will last for the rest of my life, it's not worth that much in my mind. I got a pair of shoes maybe 2 years ago for sale for $6 and they are still in great shape.
The only time I would ever pay something like that for shoes is if it was pair of custom made specifically for my feet and made of quality fabric that would last at least a decade. Even then I'd still be cautious about that purchase cause that's a lot for one pair of shoes.

$300 is a ridiculous price for some shoes! That money can go to other means of living. You can find some other comfortable shoes for a lower price that will hold up well. Don't worry about the name of the brand.

I never jumped on the hype that is Nike shoes and definitely won't stand in line for them during new releases unless I really felt inspired to re-sell them on eBay. Buying shoes for $300 is out of my comfort range for shoes.

The highest I ever spent for shoes was $85 dollars but now I will only spend up to $50 dollars.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. The National Urban League is asking Nike to pull the shoe. This will cause more problems for our youth. They are already getting jumped at school for their shoes.

It amazes me that we will opt to pay 300 dollars for a pair of shoes. There are many other things that could be done with your money. I feel that this price is very unreasonable. Unfortunately there will be some people willing to pay 300 dollars for some tennis shoes simply because Lebron James name is on them.

I would never pay $300 dollars for shoes--that's ridiculous. Only exception is I have owned $300 work boots, but my work paid for $200 of it and i have had them for 5 years. The most i've ever paid for tennis shoes is about $60.

$300 for shoes!? Ridiculous!! I buy all my shoes online on sites like eBay or Amazon, and I've never paid more than $30 for shoes! What is this madness? :angry7:

I wouldn't spend that much on shoes unless there was a guarantee that it would last 5+ years. I would spend more for quality not for a name.

There is NO Way and I repeat NO Way I would ever spend $300 on a pair of shoes and sure not on NIKE. Some make Sneakers/NIKE a trophy instead of a shoe which is meant to be WALKED on or IN. What make's a sneaker popular or in-demand???? The company name.... Paying that much for a pair of sneakers because it says a persons' name, is kind of ridiculous. In my view.... Good Question all the same. :)

First of all, Nike sneakers do not fit my foot, so I wouldn't buy them at any price, but aside from that, I think it's just plain stupid to spend that much money on something that you could buy cheaper and that would work just as well.

There is no way that I would pay $300 for shoes, even if I had the money! I think celebrities make too much money so anything that benefits them, I am usually resistant and just buy off brand shoes or designer shoes from someone less famous. The most I have spent on a pair of shoes is $70 I think, but they lasted for 6 years, so I think they were well worth the money! lol ;)

I would never pay $300 for a pair of gym shoes since I know that is only cost about $5 to make by some outsourced company located in a country where the makers are being paid about $1 a day. The mark up of Sports celebrities items is about 800%-simply ridiculous.
