Title: Heavy news-paper
Post by: jtrask on November 22, 2012, 07:15:19 pm
I still like to read a real news-paper (anyone remember the paper ones) the Thanksgiving paper is always big, but I don't remember it ever being so heavy - that I could almost hardly carry it in, however I read the paper & went through all the huge ads with a some pumpkin pie & pumpkin spice tea.

 :o

I like reading a real newspaper too, but I almost never get too. I gotta cut costs wherever I can, although sometimes when I see a really good headline I'll still pick it up. On the other hand, the conservationist in me starts wondering why I don't just read it online instead of killing trees. Does anyone else have this problem?

I try to reuse my news-paper - they are good to clean windows, if I spill something liquid I can soak it up instead of using too many paper towels, also I sometime give the papers to  people with dogs or for their bird cages, I also like the Sun coupons for Wal greens, CVS, & etc and right now my printer is down.  :)

I still read my free weekly. I canceled my daily paper a while back but I did like it. I still read it when someone leaves one in the break room, especially Sundays.

I like to read the news online. Newspapers are really messy because of all the excessive ink.

I still get the Sunday paper. However, I rarely get the chance to read it. I like the coupons and I glance at the travel section looking for affordable warmer destinations!

I prefer online news to newspapers for the most part, but that being said, there is nothing like sitting with a newspaper and turning the pages and reading the articles that way.  It's kind of like books - I like e-readers, but I would really miss paperbacks if they stopped making them.

I just glance through the paper once in awhile for local news.  My mom and dad take the paper, but it is down to about 8 pages now and by the time I get to their house I have already heard the national news that is in it either from TV or the internet.  Funny thing lately, my dad thinks the newspaper makes him sneeze.  Everytime he starts to read it he starts sneezing.

Newspapers are becoming a thing of the past because of technology. I looked forward to my Sunday paper with all of its coupons.

The newspaper I would like to get doesn't deliver where I live because its in another city. I don't even see it in news stands. So sad!

I like having a real newspaper (or a real book, or magazine, etc.) in my hands! I'm a child of technology who's been online since age 7, but I still adore good ol' paper (and pen!). My politics are not mainstream, though, so I'm hesitant to read the typical papers most of the time. I sometimes like the NY Times but the subscriptions are crazy expensive and even buying it daily is a little too high for me. I will read AM New York though; it's a free paper that I get in the morning at the subway before I get on. It's not fine reporting, but it's free and has a crossword/sudoku, my other obsessions!
