Title: what is your preference?
Post by: jcalexis on December 26, 2012, 07:39:02 am: Do you prefer paypal or a check? I prefer paypal payment because it is a fast transaction. The check takes too long.

Post by: bowrunner on December 26, 2012, 11:18:20 am: I haven't tried the check because I'm happy with PayPal and direct deposit was fine too. The check requires a trip to the bank so I prefer to do it another way.

Most definitely Pay Pal. Yes, it is quick and we can buy supplements, clothing and even pay the chiropractor visits via pay pal. The NCR doc also accepts pay pal, so that's the only way I prefer getting paid.

I have paypal but it wasn't working for me and I agree with others a check takes too long!
How long will it take for me to receive my money since I used Direct Deposit?

Post by: pstovall on December 26, 2012, 11:27:45 pm: I rarely use checks any more. I've been very happy with PayPal, and find it convenient to use. It's also easy to transfer funds from my bank into PayPal, if my account gets too low. PayPal has a great reputation and I feel safe using it.

Checks are ok, because they are usually only a day or two after paypal, so it is just as fast by the time I transfer. But.........as long as I get paid I am good with however they want to do it.

While I agree with many of the above sentiments that checks can take too long, my biggest concern with a check is that it could get lost, either in the mail or after I get it (I can be notoriously adept at losing things, at least temporarily). Plus it's an extra errand to remember (I have enough trouble some months remembering to drop off the rent check on time, lol).
