Title: Time span of wasps hatching
Post by: WaulML6 on May 19, 2013, 09:14:06 am
Does anyone know the time span that it takes for eggs to hatch in a wasp nest once the nest is built and the eggs laid?

I used to have wasp problems in my patio 2 years ago, a lot of yellow jackets flying around.. Used sprays, wasp water trap (killed about 30 of them). and sealed any wood holes (not sure if tht is a good idea). Anywho I think it takes about 8 days until the eggs starts to hatch to larvae and 6 weeks until the eggs becomes a adult worker...

Here are 2 internet sources that tell you the life span of the wasp (I picked the ones that doesn't have absurdly large wasp egg/larvae/wasp pictures... the last one has pics but small ones)
