Title: Muscle versus fat weight
Post by: WaulML6 on May 19, 2013, 09:28:49 am
If you started walking or exercising and noticed you gained weight, it may be that your muscle are getting larger and they do weigh more than fat.  But those hot fudge sundaes may put it on too.    :dontknow:

Have been walking and riding bikes several days a week and watching what I eat (no hot fudge sundaes by the way) and I haven't seen any weight loss for two weeks but believe am gaining muscle.

I suppose it depends on the kind of exercise you're doing....if you are doing weight-building exercises, then I'd guess some of that would be muscle.

I believe that gaining muscle initially adds weight, but over time you'll start losing weight because muscle burns calories better
