I always do because I am a clumsy person that drops and breaks things often but i always wonder if others do. Do you?
-
I do. Makes me feel better having that little guarantee in case something goes wrong. My mom just got a kindle fire and she debated getting the protection plan for it. But I talked her into it because knowing her something might happen to it, haha.
-
I do, actually they just change my phone even i used it for 11 months already because its still under warranty and cant hear the voice if someone call me.
-
I don't. some come with a warranty. And even it you purchase an extra plan there are usually so many exceptions you don't get your money back or a new one anyway.
-
I'm a klutz so I always buy one.
-
Eh it depends on the item and the cost of it.
-
nope never i think that they are a waste of money since the warranty when reading the fine print will typically only cover problems with the manufacturing of the product and not you dropping the item or other human interactions.
-
not extended ones not worth it to me
-
It depends on the item and how much it costs.
-
I had one on my laptop and discovered that it expired in 2008. It served me no purpose and I wasted money getting it. ??? ??? ??? :bad: :rose: :rainbow:
-
Sometimes I'll get the warranty and sometimes I don't bother, depending on the price of the thing in question, and also my experience with companies and their warranties in the past. Some are bad about customer service for warranties.
-
No, rarely do I, got one with my computer a couple years back
-
When my kids were small I did. Now geez the warranties about the same as the electronic.
-
I rarely but a warranty for products I buy....unless it is new technology or something I cannot fix. They seem to be really expensive and not always worth the money,,,,,but then, I don't have children using the items so I can be pretty careful with things.
-
Yes I do on a lot of electronics
-
I don't get the extra warranty on electronics because usually it is not worth the cost. I do carry insurance on my cell phone.
-
Depend on what I buy. If it was a TV's then I would buy it because I want it to be warranties. But if just a radio or phone, I don't think it need it.
-
Very seldom do I get warranties (or rather extended as some automatically might come with a limited one) on products I buy. I am more likely to put this towards an appliance, but my smartphone, computer, television, etc. I take my chances.
-
If you are investing in a new home sure but other wise no.
-
It depends. Some warranties cost as much as buying a new item so in those cases you might as well buy a new item.
If you're forgetful, clumsy and/or you have an expensive product and the warranty is priced within reason, then it may be a good idea to get the extra assurance.
-
Unless the product comes with a no charge warranty, I don't pay extra for warranties because it's a waste of $$$$$.
-
I don't. They tend to be overpriced for what you are actually getting.
-
It depends on the item and how much it costs.
I agree.
Several years ago I bought a very expensive gaming laptop and I made definite sure I had an extended warranty on it in the event anything happened. However, I didn't buy that warranty from the manufacturer. They are always more expensive.
I wish I would have purchased extended warranty on my standing freezer. It stopped working on me after just a year and a half and it cost a fortune to get it fixed. Almost as much as it would have cost to buy a new one if I could have found a good deal. Between paying for the parts, the labor and the phone call to the company that made it just to get a diagnosis for it, I wish I had had a warranty on it.
-
Very seldom do I ever buy an extended warranty. If you do make sure you read all of the fine print as there a lot things not really covered. If anything is going to go wrong it is usually in the first year. And if you do buy one consider the cost of it over several years as once in a while you may end up paying more for it then what it would cost to replace. I usually buy large items that already have a long period of warranty on it. Like my hot water heater it came with a free 6 year warranty and they will come and fix it free of charge for the next 6 years. can't beat that
-
I always get warrantys whenever I buy any kind of electronic I always have problems
-
I have not in the past when I purchase electronics for myself. If I buy a present for someone then I would.
-
No.
-
The only warranties I buy will be the one you can get the items replaced not service.
-
Sometimes. Depends on how much it is. It is usually just free cash for them. Sadly my job requires me to push warrantities. But most times "I" myself do not want to purchase them. I feel they are a waste of money.
-
I never pay for a warranty. Just a waste of money IMO.
-
I usually look for deals offering SquareTrade warranty, or I'd visit the SquareTrade website to see who offers the best deals.

Actually we never buy warranties on anything. Touch wood I have never had anything busted on me straight out of the box nor anytime soon after, and if I did, I would make myself heard with the manufacturer. I usually buy electronics and all big appliances on credit card for the extra back-up and joint liability you get with the card issuer. This is what credit cards are best at! For the record, my husband once propped a plasma tv up in the back of his truck on the way back from Best Buy and it toppled over about 50 yards from our home. Needless to say, it was well packed and no damage was done.
-
If its not to terribly expensive i always try to get warranties on cameras and big ticket items that are at high risk of being damaged, it just seems logical although i have never had to use any of them.
-
I usually don't unless the purchase is over $500 which doesn't happen very often :)

It does not matter how much you "make yourself heard". If it is past the warranty then it is past it. Appliances usually come with 1 year and then you can buy a 3 year or 5 year extra warranty. If it has been 13 months and it breaks then it's just too bad. It is good if you have it and you need it. But if you buy it and do not need it then you feel you wasted your money. But it is no different than car insurance. If you never file a claim that is a waste also.

On some electronics I do because you never know if it works properly. On some it is sometimes takes to much time to fill out a form for it. But I now know that I should because nothing lasts a year with these boys at home. They can't treat something so it will last throughout a lifetime. LOL.
-
I generally do not for most electronics because I have really not had much issues with most of my electronics and I end up in the past never using the warranties. I do always get them on my computers and phones though for peace of mind, especially the phones!
-
If it is an expensive electronic I get the warranty but if it's not very expensive I usually don't. I don't know if that's the right thing to do or not.
-
Occasionally. I do the only problem with that is my equipment always ends up messing up or getting destroyed after the warranty has expired. Like really???
-
I always get a warranty on computers. They always need a repair.
-
For some electronics, I get a warranty, and for other cheaper ones, I dont.
-
I always get a warranties on pretty much all electronics because lets face it all the nice fancy stuff is nice and all but its not built as good as stuff in the past so the warranties are like a godsend\ bail out when the cheap made crap pretty much fails todo what it's supposed todo
-
It depends on the item like if it was a new car yes.If it was computer for $300.00 no.
-
It depends on the product. Some I get because I know I will use but others are just garbage.
