Title: Does anyone read the rules?
Post by: oldbuddy on February 18, 2015, 12:51:28 pm
I keep seeing posts (especially about surveys) complaining about not getting paid or getting disqualified or not enough offers, but why can't people just appreciate what they give us for free (which is plenty) and stop discouraging others from staying around a bunch of whiners?

The rules are clear:

2. Respect our advertisers -- Do not discuss cancellation or post disparaging remarks

This is a big one. We rely on the relationship between ourselves and the advertisers and companies we work with to be able to bring you the best offers that are out there. We need our members to understand that the advertisers are paying you to be a member.

Stop biting the hand that feeds you, even a dog knows better than that.

I read rules always. If I must complain about anything, I keep it to myself.

I would say that if you spend a half an hour doing a survey, you should be paid, but that's not always the case. This happens sometimes and it's frustrating, but I wonder what happens to that completed survey?

I think the complaints would cease if there were a way to CONTACT the survey providers when there's a problem - AND - actually get a REPLY.  There are just too many of them that have no contact information when something goes wrong and that's a big problem in my eyes.  I don't see this as "biting the hand that feeds you."  We're not employed by any of these companies.  We, too, provide our time (and sometimes a lot of it).

I am still grateful for Fusion Cash whether or not I qualify for a survey or not.  I just cashing on what I can at different points throughout the day, sometimes I do well on surveys, sometimes on task videos etc.

I  Fusion Cash but I can sympathize with those members who spend a lot of time doing a survey and not getting paid for one reason or another. I also can sympathize with members who take an offer but never get the reward they were promised.

I do not mind members posting about it or asking for advice. If I can help these members, I am glad to do so.

I agree! The forum is full of these posts lately. They definitely aren't reading the rules too because they are all blaming FC.

In regards to almost completing a survey and then getting "disqualified",  I have felt that the survey providers are working the system against Fusion Cash (as well as us),  those issues certainly are not Fusion Cash fault.  Fusion Cash need to know it is happening and how frequently and if it is chronic with certain companies than they have options.

When something allows you to do an entire survey then does not credit you, it is right to tell the people something is not working. and it might be where the survey came from. before you jumped did you realize that you have the right to report something is not working. on other sites if I have reported taking a survey that times out at the end they have immediatley credited me for it and thanked me for letting them know something was not working. and believe me. they do use your data given. today I gave the answer they wanted on a 2 min survey but then was told the survey was closed. believe me, my answer went into the pool of questions. so OL Buddy, you may be important here and I know you are. Just look at how you have gotten referrals in many different ways and led people to where you are so you can tell them how to get referrals. It makes you a knowledgable man here. I still believe if the support category was made for support to read then that is where you are to post if something is not working.
Is it written anywhere to let people know how to get ahold of you?
It is written in the support section that that is the place to let support know about an issue.
and you know old buddy what you said was really rude to people here, even a dog knows better than to bite the hand that feeds them. we work for our pennies here, well some of us do that dont know the ins and outs of getting loads of referrals like you do. but the rest of us work hard and long for our pennies. I hope that support flags this because what you said was uncalled for and very rude. not because people are trying to get attention for what they have worked hard for like the fully finished unpaid survey.
for shame for shame.

Hurray! for Oldbuddy! Thank you very much for reminding everybody about the rules. I've seen a lot of whining on here lately. But maybe it's just the winter blues. I still like FC, even though everything doesn't always work. I just do what I can when I can, it's all free money, and I can't complain about that. (I do wish Radioloyalty would start working right again, though. I miss being able to get paid for listing to music.)

I can see why people would be frustrated about getting to the end of a survey and then being disqualified. I know they usually disqualify me so I don't bother. That's not a comment on them or on FC. A lot people, myself included, are very appreciative for the free money.

Yup, when I started on this site, I like kinda Skimmed through the rules,  It was actually useful to read and know them  :highfive:

I think the FC rules are actually written in a very easy to understand way. Usually I find "fine print" and terms of service writing very confusing or boring, but I think FC sums everything up nicely.

For you to say that we are given anything on this, or any site like this "for free" is flat out wrong and, quite frankly, very naive on your part.  You may not feel like your time is worth anything but I sure do.  When you go to a 9 to 5 job and get your paycheck at the end of the week are they giving you anything for free?  No, they are not.  Sites like this are a job, just like working at McDonald's or Wal-mart.  Actually, these sites are harder than working a full-time job.  You are spending your time, here or at a fast food joint, doing a job and you have every right to expect to get paid for doing that job.  When a survey company allows someone to complete a survey and then disqualify them at the very end, that is not right.  If an offer promises that it will credit after you provide your valid information and it never does, that is not right.  They have promised you something in return for something else.  When you fulfill your end of the bargain, it is only right that a partner or advertiser, fulfill theirs.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with someone warning other members to avoid a particular survey or to avoid an offer that does not credit.  Warning someone of a shady offer or faulty survey is not "discouraging" anyone from anything.  It is providing them with information so they can make an informed choice as to whether to invest the time in whatever offer/survey is in question or not.  It is making this site safer to use.  How many of these "you go boy, tell those whiners to shut up!" people have taken information provided by the "bad guys" and used it so they don't "waste their own time"?  I'd say quite a few.

If I spend 45 minutes working on a survey (and every one of them IS WORK) and then they disqualify me at the end with the very same demographic information that qualified me to start the survey you can sure bet I'm going to "whine" about it.  I support anyone else who wants to "whine and complain" as well as they have every right to do so.  You seem to forget that when I get cheated in an offer I'm not the only one who loses.  As is said so many times on this forum, I don't get paid, Fusion Cash doesn't get paid.  And when they lose, everyone loses.  It costs them to run this site.  When they don't make money because a survey partner or offer doesn't pay me or another user, that will trickle down to you.  Every time you load a page on this site it costs Fusion Cash money.  It costs them just to have their domain name so you have an easy to remember URL to type in to get here.  They will have to change the way they do things to make up for lost revenue from unpaid offers and that will affect everyone.  The time my "whining" saves you from having to find out the hard way that that 45 minute survey will not credit or such and such offer doesn't credit means you can be working on something that does function like it should.  You get paid.  Fusion Cash gets paid and the site stays pleasant and SAFE to use.  Fusion Cash isn't the only site where non-paying surveys and no-crediting offers happen.  And this is not the only site where the "whiners and complainers" are voicing their concerns.  I respect the rules here and at every site I am a member of.  I also respect my fellow members and respect them enough to not want them to go through the same negative experiences I have if all possible.

I notice, oldbuddy, that you also left a critical part of the rule you quoted out of your post:

Quote

Please do offers that you are interested in, and not just do them because it has a 20 dollar payout. I hear people all the time whining about an offer that did not credit, but if they were truly interested in the offer it would not be that big of a deal because they wanted the product/service to begin with and the cash they get back from that is just something on the side. As long as you respect our advertisers, you may state your honest opinion of them – saying "This offer sucks!" or "This offer is a scam!" is not an honest opinion since it is speaking  out of anger.

What if I break this rule? You will be banned for a minimum of 7 days.

Saying an offer did not credit is stating fact and an honest fact.  If something doesn't credit, it doesn't credit.  Not getting paid is not getting paid.  Saying so is not being angry, mean, a bad apple, a whiner (to call someone a whiner for stating his/her honest feelings is quite offensive, actually) or a complainer.  It's being honest.  For a user to say that they spent a lot of time working on something and that they felt cheated is still being respectful.  It's also giving an honest opinion.  If a user starts using profanity, hate speech or other like speech then the line has been blatantly crossed.

And where do you draw the line?  I have had offers by certain partners lead me to sites that have caused me problems.  On another site, I tried an offer that I was genuinely interested in.  Thanks to that genuine interest, I was rewarded with ransomware on my computer.  Do you have any idea how frustrating and difficult it is to deal with that?  I've had dozens and dozens of offers that my anti-virus have flagged as malware.  I've opted to watch videos and have had adult material come up on my screen.  Is it "whining or complaining" for me (or anyone else who experiences this) to warn other users about that partner and their offers; to use them with caution?  I don't think so because that is keeping users safe.  I sure wish someone who might have had the bad experience with the ransomware had whined and complained before I tried the offer.  Would have saved me a lot of hard work, a lot of time and a lot of trouble.

You get nothing in this life for free except the air that you breathe.  Not everyone enjoys willingly taking the kicking some of these partners/advertisers love to give out.  Even a dog knows better than that.

I doubt anyone reads the rules.  Sometimes I think it's necessary to complain.  How else can we make this site better?

i couldnt agree with you more.  as far as i know there is no other site that pays you anything when you are dq'd and i belong to around 20 other sites.  i am grateful for even a penny being a stay at home parent means you got to save money all you can.

Hey Old Buddy, what do you make of this? This was the completion page of the survey that I never got paid for:
We're sorry, but a technical error occurred and as a result we're unable to process all the information on this page. Don't worry, your survey participation has been noted and your account will be updated accordingly.

Thanks for your participation.
It sure looks like I was supposed to get paid.

Actually, yes there are other sites that pay you compensation when you are disqualified for a survey.  You get some compensation, even if it's just a penny.  I belong to one site that when surveys disqualify me when I reach the end or if there is a critical error with the survey, I can send in a screen shot with information about the survey (subject matter, length of time to complete the survey, survey ID number, amount it was worth, etc.) and they give me the full credit of the survey every time.  I've had to open a ticket with that site more than a few times (close to $10 worth of surveys) and they have never turned me down.

Hey, Old Buddy....a lot of what you call complaints are just warnings from others that had bad experiences and it's only fair to be warned.

There was a couple times I warned everyone about a VIRUS attack that took me days to get out of my system. it came from one of the videos and I felt I needed to to warn others so they wouldn't have the headache. In fact, I also let support know and it was a true virus. So should I have kept my mouth shut? I don't think so.

I complain when I watch a video or do survey and don't get credit....which happens a lot. You're saying we shouldn't let others know that they may be wasting their time?

I totally disagree with you. In fact, aren't you, yourself, breaking the rules with your "ads" about different sites you're signed up with?

I understand where you're coming from, but I think as long as no one is giving the details of the offers that it's fine. It's just like other things in life that can become frustrating when you work hard at something and hope to get a good outcome. I definitely get what you're saying, but I believe it is a great thing for others to vent and see that it doesn't go perfect for others as well. We all need a little encouragement and to know we aren't alone. It doesn't have to fix the issue, sometimes it's just a breath of fresh air to know someone hears you and actually cares that you might be having a rough time. No matter what, if they stay then you know they're in love with FC just like us! :)

I agree with you.  I think it is really important to read the rules to know when you have a legitimate beef.  Sometimes, though, I think it is important to let others here at FC know when an offer seems truly unfair, misleading or bogus.  FC does a pretty good job of keeping the sites that are good so that everyone is treated fairly.  The only ones I have had an issue with lately are the surveys that let you go on for 20 - 30 questions or in some cases, clear to the end and then boot you out.  It seems they should pay up for the questions you did answer.  I appreciated that FC kicks in a penny for each failure but some surveys are just abusive in this way.
