we did today founds some really good deals bothe kids got some new clothes and stuff they need for school new shoes it was a nice peaceful day ordered pizza and got a movie now going to relax

I used to go to flea markets occasionally when I was younger. Nowadays, I rarely ever go to a flea market.

yeah, they have a lot of like different stuff that "normal" stores wouldn't have. theres some sort of flea market or festival near me coming up soon. can't wait to go!

Flea markets, no. Consignment stores and Ebay, yes.

I started setting up at flea markets in 1984. I was hooked. A lady I went to Church with wanted me to go with her so I cleaned out the up stairs and sold some. I use to set up at flea market every weekend but about 10 or 11 years ago I could not make much money so I quit. Hope everyone has a good day. :)

yes and Im thinking of setting up at one cause people are not coming to teh garage sale just by sign. those who do come are thrilled and buy something but not many people live around here and just by sign is not enough to sale in lehigh florida. the yard sale is all set up. in house items like stove refridgerator sleeper couch. i cant get them to a flea market. Im kind stuck on what to do to get it out there and get people here.

i go to flea markets, but i don't go all the time. just when i get the chance to.

I love going to flea markets. I buy my clothes at flea markets. I get great bargains at flea markets.

Since I got my dog I avoid flea markets, I don't want to take a chance on bringing any home.

once in a blue moon I go to the flea markets. I don't have the time or the occasion to go.

Used to go all of the time when I lived near a town that had them, but where we live now they do not have one. and really don not seem to know what they are. But man we have the yard sales in the summer. We have been talking about going to a couple of big ones in the bigger cities. See how they work and maybe take some items over and sell them. Don't know yet if it would be worth our time. But they are antiques and you just cannot sell them in yard sales.

I go every once in a while and I do enjoy it. I guess the bottom line is that I would go more often if I had more money to spend. No money to spend, so I don't need the temptations.

I might be going to them this summer haven't been to one in a few years.

looks for other beads to update the look, and makes something new. She showed me one, and it looked just like one I saw at the fancy deparment store. She looks for collectibles, too. She came home with a bunch of pressed glass creamers and sugars she got for cheap, and she scouts for blue carnival and cobalt glass.
My other friend scouts for things to remodel her house with, and she says she loves to drive down the street and the alleys near her house. She has found some neat stuff that people were throwing away, like a pair of folded doors, she sanded and stained them, they are the door to her bedroom. Some one else told me they got a chandelier that someone had pitched. I live in the wrong neighborhood. All I ever see are old chairs and sofas that are so broke down.
She found me a set of craft books from the 60's, 17 volumes. I loaned them to a friend so she could get the knitting and crochet patterns. Cost me 5bucks.Took me days to look through them all.

There is a flea market all year long where I am down at the jersey shore. It's a big outdoor one. I didn't get a chance to go last year so now that is nicer out I want to go walk around it

Sounds like a good day - especially the pizza and movie lol - I would love to go to flea markets have a great one that is one town over from us but due to mobility issues and breathing issues I can't walk around that much. Hate the thought of it but have been thinking about giving in to a hover-round.

I love flea markets:) It reminds me that I am on a state fair. I enjoy seeing what people have to offer to sell and sometimes get lucky to find something I want for much better price. There is a flea market coming up soon around where I live, I will not want to miss it, and it gives me a chance to get out to get fresh air and streatch my legs.

I love flea markets but there are no good ones in my area. When I used to go home to SC to visit my family there were several flea markets in that area and we would always go. So much fun and some really unique items to be found.

not any more after I have a very bad experience with this sale person, she is so rude and inpatient, I thought she had flea in her sweater and cause this kind of attitude.

I prefer going to thrift stores. A lot less walking.

I like them but there are not too many in the area where we live, We do have some Thrift stores and my youngest daughter (16 years old) loves going there, she spends hours looking thru the racks and finds very good stuff

I have not been to flea markets in along time this year I might start going again it's 25 minutes to get to the close one now.

We go occasionally. It is very hard for me to go because I can't walk them.

I would enjoy a day like yours. However, my husband doesn't have the patience for it. So I don't get to many flea markets! :(

We go as often as we can there are so many good things there waiting for me.

I still like to go to flea markets, but the big ones are usually a distance to drive and often times the items there are always the same thing, so after a while there doesn't seem to be much new.

We no longer have any by us either. :( There used to be one in a big building nearby and I had a 2-booth shop that ranked #2 in sales. #1 was always the booth that sold sports cards.) It was so much fun.
The nearest one is about 20 miles away and I've thought many times of going there to sell but every year they have changed so much that it's nothing compared to what it used to be. (All novelty cheap junk from China now & puppy mill sick puppies.) :(

The only time I go to flea markets is when my wife and I are on vacation.

I really like going to flea markets and used to go a lot when I was a child. Have not been lately but would like to go. It is something fun to do.

Sometimes when I'm tired of getting ripped of from the regular stores!

I use to go to them with my grandparents when I was little. I remember buying GI Joes at one of them for a 1.00 each. :thumbsup:

I do but they have become so trendy in my area that they arent really full of bargains anymore.

I haven't been to a Flea Market in some years. When I did go, I enjoyed looking around to see all that was offered.
