Title: Ready for summer ?
Post by: sketchette on March 16, 2015, 01:52:16 pm
Anyone ready for some summertime and good weather ?
I'm a stay at home mom for 6 more months.
i feel this winter has dragged on so much for me and my son to be able to enjoy the out doors together seeing as he is almost 6 months don't want him to be out in the cold to long and get sick to much, Since him and his daddy were both sick 2 weeks ago and this mom had to take care of both of them ahah ,
What are you guys looking forward to doing this summer ?

Not no much the hot weather we have,  but to be able to be out and doing the yard , garden and other plants, go fishing so forth. I hate it when it is so cold you are miserable. Spring is just around the corner and it seems every time we have a really nice warm day the wind comes up and the pollen flys every where. I can't win. But at least I am able to get out of the house.

The weather has been getting a bit warmer. The days are a little longer so I'm ready for summer. It's just around the corner!

I longed for the summer. It is my favorite season. I can't wait to start wearing light clothings and start with my morning jogging.

It's 4:30 in the afternoon here in NM and I started tilling my garden today.  I've already cooked out a few times.  Yes, I'm very ready for summer, bring it on.   8)  :rainbow: (We need a sun emoticon.)

Yes! I am a stay at home mom as well and hate that I've been couped up in the house for months. My poor baby barely knows whats outside of these walls. It hit 50 today so we went for a long walk. Good times.

I wouldn't mind if summer held back for a few weeks to give us a nice Spring - mainly keep things below freezing at night and above freezing during the day for a few weeks so I can gather some sweet sap from my maple tree.  Been either too cold or too warm for the sap to flow this season...

I'm no thinking about summer yet as I want to enjoy spring when everything blooms.  Last year a couple of freezes just at the wrong time kept almost all of my blooming trees from blooming and I'm so hoping that doesn't happen again this year.

I am super stoked for the summer! I have noticed lately that I am a lot happier with the sun coming out ("sunny disposition", pun intended). My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Tennessee this summer, and I am SO looking forward to that!

It feels like summer already at this time of year and it is starting to heat up pretty good. Although I do like summer I just don't like the heat to be in the mid to high 90's or even higher. No way, time to keep in nice and steady at 70.

I have been ready for Summer since the first day of Autumn.  I don't like the cold (I have a bad reaction to it), and can never get warm when it snows or its windy.

I like the weather better but since I work full time year-round, the seasons don't mean that much to me except my daughter is in camp or with her grandparents more often.

I just wish it hadn't turned back into winter again with snow on the ground yesterday and in the high teens at night which is very hard on anything trying to bloom.  We keep setting records for low temps.  It is supposed to get warmer until next weekend when it gets cold again.

No, I want to enjoy spring first. I like to see the flowers blooming. The gradual change in temperature prepares me for when summer comes. I wouldn't want to go from extreme cold to hot as I think my body would be in shock.

Honestly i don't think anyone is really ready for summer because it's usually a sudden thing anymore and pops upon you when you least expect it. Our summers for the last three four years oddly cool instead of really warm far from the norm so to me i can't really consider those times summer more like a summer past us by

Ready as you can be in central Florida cause it gets extremely hot and the airconditioning costs are not happy.  But then in the winter we save money on heating because it is rare to have to use the heating much.  Oh well flip flops and shorts here I come.  8)

Let me tell you. I am so ready for summer. This would be my first summer in Alaska since 3 years ago. 3 years ago we moved from Alaska to Arizona for schooling purposes and the summers were terrible there. Now that we moved back the end of last year to Alaska I am so ready for summer here. Fresh air and nice weather. I guess Arizona made me appreciate Alaska 100% :)
