I am finding the older I get, the more I do not like driving. I like being able to
get in the car and go where I need or want to go, but do not like to drive.

I absolutely hate driving. And I agree with you, melodylogan45. I, too, find that I detest driving the older I get. But just because I hate to drive, doesn't mean that I do not LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my car. LOL.

I really don't like to drive but I hate riding with my husband. He is the worst driving in the world. He makes me sick when he drives, so I drive.

I have no issues with driving. It's the idiots on the road that can't put down their phone or pay attention to what they are doing that I seem to have an issue with.

I like to drive as long the traffic is not bad and I have a good sleep the night before. The other day I was driving in the Texas Highway and I closed my eyes for a moment, when I realized that I was about to fall asleep, that was scared to death.

I am 74 and still like to drive. I bought a new car year before last and I get in it any go where ever I want too. I hope I never get where I can't drive. I hate to depend to on someone else. Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe. :)

As I get older I like to drive less and less. I let my husband do most of the driving.

I have learned to enjoy driving. Since I lost my husband, I am getting new perspectives on many things. Taking in the scenery while I am taking a trip is wonderful. I also find that driving does not frustrate me as much as it used to. I still had being in a traffic jam. BMaston12

I don't hate to drive, but I would prefer if someone else did it.

I like driving around, but I absolutely hate being tail-gated and so many drivers do it now. >:( It seems no matter where you are, all the cars on the same highway line up as closely as possible. I don't know if it's a herd mentality, if they think it's a drag race, or if the traffic lights just kind of arrange it that way, but it makes me bananas. :confused1:
I've been rear-ended so many times from a standing still position that I constantly keep my eyes on the rear-view mirror. That behavior has saved me from a rear-end crash a couple of times.
But I stay pretty tense and frustrated if someone is riding my back end too closely. There's not much you can do about it. :-\

I love to drive especially fast! I'm the one who is always driving when my husband and I go any where. I always wanted to be a race car driver when I grew up... and still do!

I like driving because it gives me alone time and it is relaxing to me.

No, I do not care about driving, do not like it at all. I only drive because I have too, if not my husband or my daugther will drive me.

I love driving, I am the one who does most of the driving when we go places, unless we take the crotch rocket out then he obviously does the driving.

I love to drive if the road isn't crowded. I don't care much for expressway driving as it's usually quite crowded. I like to be out in the country where the scenery is pretty or interesting.

i don't like driving. it try not to drive as much as possible. i prefer being the passenger. LOL! driving gets me really tired for some reason.

I dont mind driving..but not in traffic or when it's super pouring outside. I used to go driving late night for fun. But not anymore...I think it's old age.

I don't mind driving as long as I have a good idea of where I am going. I would rather drive instead of riding with someone else.

I enjoy driving when I need to run an errand. I don't think I would enjoy driving as an occupation and I don't waste time and gasoline driving around like a person with nothing to do. I like rolling down the windows to experience some cool, fresh air.

Kudos to you! That sounds super fun.
In answer to the question: I like to drive too. However, sometimes it is a drag because of sucky traffic. Also, I used to drive a lot for work so the last thing I wanted to do was drive after dirving like 7 hours a day.

I drive out of necessity but do not like to drive. I enjoy it when someone drives for me. :)

No I used to but now I don't so much because I'm older and I have mobility and health issues and run out of steam so to speak quickly. In fact lately have been getting sons to grocery shop and I stay home because I just get out of breath and tired. Oh well I still have a lot to be thankful for and I am.

No, because I never tried to drive a car and sometimes it is too risky.

I don't drive much anymore.I'm retired so I don't drive to work every day.I also live close to most of the other places I go.

I do not mind the driving, but around the DC area the traffic is a total nightmare and sitting on traffic for 2 hours with a ride that should normally take 20 to 30 minutes is unbelievable, i also hate the tailgaters and the distracted drivers with the phone.

I must admit I do not like like driving. If it is not close by, I will think twice before hopping in the car. we live in an area where traffic can be a little hectic.

Nope i absolutely hate driving when ever we go anywhere i hurry up and jump into the passengers seat to avoid any driving o well.

I always liked to drive, but if it's a long road trip I would rather share the drive!

I don't mind driving. In fact, I actually love to drive and always have. The only thing I do not care for is getting stuck in traffic or when other drivers ride my bumper. Luckily, I haven't been rear-ended, but it is still annoying.

I like to drive but I don't do highways so I am limited :(

I don't like to drive anymore. I will if I have too but I have been in a few scary wreaks and I also have really bad anxiety. My husband usually does all of the driving unless I am going somewhere close.

I don't mind driving. On a daily basis i most likely just drive 3 blocks L0L...my job is like down the street. Unless i have to go somewhere I don't but if there's a road trip I'll most likely be the driver

I don't mind driving unless I have to commute which I have been doing for my job the last 7 years. It takes a toll on the body and mind. And I will be 43 in 20 days! Yeah, I might have to find a new job soon! lol

For the most part, I enjoy driving. However, not in lots of traffic where everyone is exceeding the speed limit, not when it is icy here in Michigan, not at night when it is raining hard, as well as in unfamiliar places.

I am 74 years old and still like to drive. I bought a new car 2 years ago and it will last me the rest of my life. I still work at a full time job and will try to work as long as I can. We have a lady at walmart that is 92 years old and she is still working. She is very active and lives by her self. HOpe everyone has agood day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe. :)

I like to drive especially when I am driving on the I-95. I like to drive on highways because of the long destinations.

I like to drive but not every far. I hate to drive where I don't know the place or the city for that I have my husband drive.

I drive mostly because of necessity. I get stressed because of the idiots on the streets and those who are on their cell phones.

yes I still love driving, though now its only when Im running errands or going somewhere, when I was younger and the gas was cheaper it was common of me to just take off somewhere for a drive :)

I really haven't liked to drive lately i am not sure why i used to love it but now i just let my boyfriend or parents or who ever is with me drive me everywhere.

I love driving. But with so many crazy drivers around, I usually go to less crowded roads where driving is a real pleasure.

Love driving as long as there isn't bumper to bumper traffic and in a safe, reliable car. On my bucket list is a drive across country with no time limit and no schedule of have to be somewhere at a certain time. Hope that one comes true!

No, hate it. But really it is bc I have a big commute with bad traffic and horrible distracted drivers all around me. I guess if I was alone on a country road without any cares, it would be different!

I enjoy driving as long as I'm familiar with the area. I prefer being in the driver's seat, rather than, being the passenger. :heart:

I still like driving just sometimes, most of time I don`t.

I do not mind driving around my little town but I can not drive in a lot of traffic anymore I am too nervous. I don't even like to ride in high traffic areas.

I am in my mid-40's now and I loathe driving. To many crazy folks out there.

I love driving and have since I started sneaking my Parent's car out after they went to sleep when I was twelve (forty years ago)! When the market went sour in 2007 and my business was suffering I took on two third shift jobs that required constant driving. One of my clients from when business was good owned a national floral company. They offered to pay me to drop off some flowers and I still do it once a year on heavier holidays-if I am not too busy. I usually make a few hundred dollars on that day delivering flowers, generally, to women that more than happy to have been remembered with a beautiful bouquet of flowers! I had entertained the thought of becoming an Uber driver but have been too busy and disconnected to move forward. Plus my kids have the cars which will change in 2 months when one goes off to college.
