I don't have David Letterman show. I prefer to watch Seinfield.

It's about time he retire and enjoy life.

Changing of the guard is sad. Seeing the old go out for a new regime is sometimes scary. What will happen to the show. I like Jimmy Fallon as the host replacement for Leno. I hope that the same happens to Letterman. Good retirement Dave! BMaston12

I am not a fan of late night talk shows so I can't really comment.

I could care less about his first, last or in-between show but I am glad he is involved in IndyCar racing to the tune of being a co-owner of Graham Rahal's car with Bobby Rahal, Graham's dad, which is known as Rahal Letterman Racing.  His show was never that good anyway.

I mean no disrespect but for me personally...no impact at all.  I never liked his show and i'm not excited it's ending, but certainly not upset either.

I've always kinda liked Dave. I didn't watch everyday without fail, but I'd often tune in and get a kick out of his dry humor and top ten lists. I tuned in tonight to bid him farewell.

He will be missed and not easily replaced! :(

I use to watch Letterman when he had a talk show that came on at 9:00 a.m. in the morning.  I remember him being very funny.  I didn't watch very often when he took the late night show.  It's hard to stay up late when you have to get up early in the mornings....

I have no opinion.  I watch the show every now and then.  If he feels it's time to retire good for him.

I always felt he got shafted when he didn't get the Tonight Show gig but I'm glad he stamped out his own way. It was an enjoyable send off. I really loved his last Top 10 list.

I won't miss him as long as I can still watch Johnny Carson reruns.

The first thing he said on his last show was "It looks like I won't be getting that Tonight show gig." :D

I always flipped around to see who had guests I wanted to see.  I did like Letterman and Leno both a lot.  I will miss him.  The guy who is replacing Craig Ferguson so far seems pretty entertaining.

Johnny Carson reruns?  The topic was about Letterman.  Funny story my mom and dad saw him in NY at the Copa and my mom wanted Carson's autograph and then Carson ask my dad if he wanted one and my dad replied "No you want mine"  Carson was a phony and a louse, just ask all his ex wives.

He doesn't need to win any popularity contests to please me, he was FUNNY and that's all I came for.

Good for you then start a subject about HIM and pay attention to the topic at hand, don't go off on some tangent.  Your replies to post are so predictable and lame. :peace:  If someone posted a subject about iice cubes you would reply "I like hot soup"  :highfive:

I missed his last show. Bummer. But I feel old now. I remember when David Letterman started his show back in the day. Wow, it has been many years. Where did that time go?
