Title: Does anyone know if Fusion Cash is planning on moving away from Adobe Flash?
Post by: skwam on July 18, 2015, 01:30:14 pm
With Chrome announcing that they will not support Flash in the near future, I am finding a lot of sites and other browsers are changing, too.

Fusion Cash is all about Flash, and we do get so many crashes.  I would be happy to learn what is coming up, or if anyone has found a pc browser that works well for Fusion Cash, Radio Loyalty, and the videos.

It is kind of scary to have to turn off all the security protections just to run the sites!

Thanks,

Sally

I have some success using chrome and firefox with Fusion Cash.  However, I am finding that chrome crashes a lot when I am on another site and watching videos. Flash seems to be a problem.  Maybe that is why chrome is moving away from it.
It seems that chrome crashes when I am watching videos, especially Encrave.  I thought that Encrave was the problem but maybe it is flash.

Flash has been a problem for YEARS.  It causes MANY browsers to crash or falter.  With the way the internet and technology is changing today, Flash will be a thing of the past.  There is an active "push" to kill Flash now in favor of HTML5, and that push is getting stronger.  I'm glad.  Recently, Mozilla actually physically blocked Flash from running on Firefox due to all the problems, and Adobe quickly released a patch to correct it.

It would be welcome because my android on chrome does not support adobe flash. Makes life a pain but it would be nice if FC had an alternate.

I have a lot of trouble with Flash as well. But I'm wondering how we'll be able to watch Youtube videos on Chrome, if they don't support flash. Aren't most Youtube videos in flash format?

Yes, at certain points I tend to have a lot of crashing but at other times I don't  have any. I use chrome as well. I do hope that if this is going to become an issue that it will be adjusted before chrome no longer supports flash, if it really happens.

I run RadioLoyalty on Safari every day with great success, but I've always gone to Firefox or Chrome when I couldn't get a video to work. I couldn't watch the Gorilla videos on Safari, but they were fine on Chrome or Firefox.

I use Firefox and don't have any problem watching videos.

I doubt it.... plus many of the videos and such from 3rd parties are flash (I'm sure).
I run Firefox (out of habit)... but I switch to Opera when I run into problems with Firefox.
