As you get into your fifties, do you find that you
still like to attend parties or do you find that
You are not interested?
I do not seem to be interested. I believe my health issues
and low energy has a lot to do with it. Once I can get
myself back together, then maybe things will change.

Last party I went to was New Year's Eve and it was the first time in a long time since I went to one like that.

Being almost 47, I do not care for parties, concerts or anything.

There aren't as many invites as there once were.
I never have really cared for huge parties but would like to go when invited. The winter weather up doesn't help but fortunately I have a nice circle of friends to get together with :rainbow: :peace: >:( :wave:

No, I'm old for that and we are happy just to be at home.

I do not like parties, I have always been VERY uncomfortable around strangers

I am very busy most of the time, so yes, when an occasion arises where I can see my friends, I try to at least make an appearance.

Not really, I'm a introvert. So I loathe parties with strangers or people I'm not too interested in talking to.

I can't remember the last party I went to. Don't know many people that throw parties. Not sure if a baby shower counts as a party.

I go to parties from time to time.

I'm in my early sixties and I still go to parties when invited, such as for New Year's or family celebrations of graduations, etc. most of them are not as much fun as when I was younger - mostly just standing around eating and talking. It's the younger people at the party that appear to have the most fun, usually playing some game.

Only family stuff. It seems if you go to parties anywhere there is too much risk for trouble since there is always someone there to ruin it :bad: 8)

I am a classic introvert...and I am in my thirties. Unless I am invited (and I actually like the person who is hosting the party), I rarely go. I am a homebody, through and through.

I'll be 38 here in less than a week, and I don't go to parties. I did that mostly in my teens and 20's, but rarely.
I would rather spend one on one time with my friends than in a big group of people.

If I get invited to a party, I will go but many times I do not feel like it is worth it. It seems people just basically come to parties to eat and drink and I am not a big food person. Most parties don't even have music.

I have an extremely small group of friends and I think we're all too busy figuring things out for ourselves to have parties, haha. I would love to go to a party, though---it would be a nice and welcome distraction from all the uncertainty of work, finding a place to live, etc.! :party:

im in my 30s and really i dont attend unless its a major mild stone or family ordered

Not into my 50's yet.... but I suspect I'll still like to go... as long as there's food!

I don't attend them because it is hard to try and get away after you eat and everyone is looking at you. Yikes!!

I have been too a few parties over the years. I really don't like them very much unless I know everyone. I am not too much of a party person. :cat:

I believe the older you get the more you prefer an intimate gathering of a small group of friends rather than the chaos of ig Bashes!

Well, I like to be around people and talk, and/or eat, and/or dance. But if it's just an excuse to get drunk, you can count me out.
When I was a teenager, I was usually the designated driver (because I drank WAY less than anyone else) and I always wondered why puking your guts out was deemed so much fun by so many people. ???

I don't really care for going to parties. I am more of a home body, so I enjoy being home with family.

No not like I use to do when I was younger, if it is with people who are retired like me and in my age bracket I do still enjoy, but I am not into some of the new music, I like old school R&B.

I don't like going to parties, but I enjoy throwing parties at my home (not where anything is sold like Pampered Chef, Scentsy, etc.). Just a small group of family or friends, no alcohol, good food & good fun.
Holidays, Celebrations, Just Because....(and I LOVE doing "themed" parties!!)
Lots of pictures, lots of fun, lots of memories!!

When I was young I enjoyed parties at my house but not going to others. I felt I had more control over situations and less likely to get the law called. Nowadays, My idea of a party is a party tray and a good movie at home.

Besides the occasional invitation to go out to eat at restaurants with friends, I can't even remember the last time I was invited to a party except for family parties on holidays. I don't think I would be too crazy about going to one anyway any more.

I haven't been to a party in ages. Just have no interest in going. I find the older that I get the more of an introvert I become and I don't have a ton of patience to deal with other people.

I was never a party animal. Too responsible for my own good.
Now, I spend time with friends where we naturally end up with a party; talking, laughing, having drinks and sometimes there's a little bit of drama but it's all worth it.

I just turned 33 today and will have a party this Saturday.

It has a lot of years since I went to a party. There are too many things happening at parties lately. I don't miss the parties all that much.

No, I just to go small gatherings with friends.

The only parties I go to is the special occasions lol and hopefully I handle-myself as everyone understands. :party:

No, I do not attend parties any more. I will attend a house gathering with old friends and we eat and talk, maybe play some cards, but parties no.

We gave up going to parties. In fact, not too many friends held parties so it was no big deal.
We enjoyed throwing parties every summer for every holiday. had to give those up 8 years ago. i made all the food back then. We used to throw a Christmas Eve party, too. it was nothing to have 50 people here and most were friends of my boys. I miss those days.

I'm an introvert so I usually duck party invitations, I know I'm no fun but they just overwhelm me too much. If it's not a huge one, or I know a lot of people there, I might go.
