Title: betting
Post by: Gerianne on January 24, 2017, 12:19:37 pm
some people make bets for the Super Bowl game.
sometimes, the favorite team loses.
as TV viewers, it's fun to watch until half time.
then, the audience loses interest.

I think a lot of people just watch the SuperBowl to see the commercials.  I do imagine there is a lot of betting going on.  I won a contest on an Internet site one year, for guessing the score.  That's not betting, but it made watching the game a lot more fun.

I usually don't bet specific games like the super bowl however I do play draft kings which is kind of like gambling. You get to pick a team and you see how it does against other player's teams in your contest. I usually break even, winning some times and losing sometimes.

Betting, statistics-wise, is a loser's game.  The house always wins.

I'm not a sports minded person but my husband loves football and makes an effort to watch his favorite teams play.  The Super Bowl is always a must for him and we normally celebrate with food that's tasty and easy to eat while watching the game.

I think that there are a lot of New England Patriots fans, even after getting caught cheating twice/rated as the most disliked team in the National Football League, and not a lot of Atlanta fans. New England has more experience and an awesome quarterback which will probably make them odds on favorites even though Atlanta looked awesome against the Green Bay Packers. I would have to bet on the Patriots at this time if I were doing straight on bets. I am in a few office pools that depend more on the score of the game rather than on who wins or loses. I usually print up all of the peripheral bets for people to keep track of during the game like the color of Gatorade dumped on the winning coach's head and coin toss results-this usually keeps people engaged during the entire game.
