Post by: melodylogan45 on June 25, 2017, 04:25:36 am
Are you planning now to leave town to celebrate the 4th of July holiday? I do
not have plans, but would love to take a break and leave town. I will
stay home and relax. I did not request additiomal time off after the 4th.

since my mom and dad have passed away we don't make a big deal of this holiday.   We just go some where and watch the fireworks and that is it.   My daughter usually has to work,,,  but she will come and join us when she get off.  We usually go over by our Steak N Shake and watch them so we get a milk shake and enjoy,,,   I guess that has become our little family tradition in the last 6 years. LOL  I just realized it....   Yea for Us,,,  now if her hubby would just get off work in time to join us,,,  that would make it even nicer  :)

I'm sure I'll be working on the day, but I sure hope to see some fireworks at some point.

Not at work, though!

One of my best fireworks memories is one summer when I worked in downtown St. Louis for an attorney's office. They let us come to the 34th floor to watch the fireworks over the arch. They had snacks for us and it was quiet enough that the loud booms didn't bother us too much. It was so beautiful!!

I am not planning on going out of town this year. Just plan on going to the pool with the kids then making a BBQ dinner when I get back. I am also planning on buying a few fireworks too. I usually don't buy, but I want to this year.

Since I have to work on Monday, and off on Tuesday, I won't be celebrating. I may find a cookout over the weekend, but that's it. There are fireworks near where I live and I can get a glimpse of this from my window.

We will be working  at the Ministry of hope since it is a Tuesday. Hubby used to be with the fish and wildlife and now hates going to the lakes for the 4th. and I don't blame him they are so crowded.  A lot of people driving boats and drinking. Just  would not like being out there with them. We watch the fireworks from the corner of our street. for a while.

My plans for the fourth of July is going out to eat at Salsa's with my husband & our daughter. Our daughter decided she did not want to celebrate the national holiday for personal reasons & we support her.

With my job, I am unable to go away for the 4th. I do like the fireworks but by the time they start I am already in another world/dimension in my dream. I always admire those who stay up late for the day's finale but I need to get the rest I needed as much as possible.

I think the family is planning to go somewhere to see fireworks, but right at the moment it's up in the air. I definitely want to do something than stay at home at least.

I spend every Independence Day at home. I do not foresee a chance of changing that tradition, LOL. I am, however, thinking of hosting a barbecue for my neighbors.

Spending the day at home as we have a dog that is petrified of the sounds of fireworks but is is suppose to be raining here this year so maybe it won't be so bad.

Will be relaxing at home till time for fireworks,,,  then go over town and sit on the hill by Bob Evans Restaurant and  watch them.   We are a small town so they are nothing real big  but its about having fun with everyone else.  Can't break the every year tradition  :)

No, we will stay home and probably go to the lake side to watch the fire works later in the evening, you can just take your lawn chairs and sit back and enjoy for free :)
