it costs a pretty penny to travel.
the cost of a flight can be expensive.
not everyone can use frequent flyer miles or have the trip taken as a tax or business deduction.

I will visit my mom in the Philippines in November and my airfare ticket is $1,800. I got it on sale and sometimes cost higher especially if business class.

I don't fly,,,, hate it with a passion. Tickets are crazy high to go anywhere. Just not right,,, :(

There are people or companies that you can follow on instagram that let you know of really cheap flights to different places around the world. Right now I can't think of the name, but one of my coworkers follow them, so I will find out and let you know who they are and how to follow them.

I know at work they start watching and checking real early to find the cheap flights.

flights are expensive and it is not fun to fly. I maybe fly once or twice a year.so I just save up and get the cheapest ones I can find. I try o plan trip well in advance :rainbow: :rose: :peace:

It all depends on timing...when you get tickets and when you fly....and of course, remote locations or longer distances will cost more...

Yes it can be, whenever I fly I start checking rates as soon as I know my dates of travel and I think there are some sites that will let you know when the price drops on the route you may be traveling, my best advice is start early if possible. Good Luck.

Yeah, it's ridiculous how much it costs to fly. It shouldn't cost that much to see other parts of this world.

Noticed that too.

You aren't kidding!!! I love southwest though! They are a great company!

Compared to the cost of travel, living in Southern California is positively prohibitive. I'll take the plane and visit.

I flew to Arizona, from Colorado, in April to visit my parents and I think the round trip ticket was about one hundred and seventy five dollars. Last month I flew from Colorado to Chicago and back, to visit my cousin and see a concert, for one hundred and thirty dollars. I had really good experiences both times and I had grown to hate flying. TSA/HSI was so burdensome and has been proven to be ineffective at stopping so many items from going through. Where there is a will there is a way. If terrorists want to blow up a plane they will find a way. There is no use worry about it and, given the ineffectiveness of airport security, the airport security programs should be diminished if not altogether removed. My son had a horrible experience flying out five weeks ago: his United flight got canceled at his layover, he was stuck there for twelve hours, they lost his luggage but promised to bring it to him when it was found and then refused to deliver the luggage.

You can travel for free in your mind, surfing the internet, or practicing meditation. Even reading a book. It's called TRANSPORT.
