Hugh Hefner passed away at the age of 91. He founded the Playboy Empire. I'm sure there were plenty of men who wanted to be him for at least one day! RIP you had a wild ride.
-
Yes, he was a legend among the male populous but still a legend and will be sorrowfully missed.
-
Well, he started a revolution. Can't argue with that. RIP.
-
he was the only white rich old guy that the media hasn't strung up, because of his political in-correctness
-
God speed to him, and hope that he can be happy in the new world...
-
He certainly was a pioneer in the field of journalism. RIP and condolences to his family.
-
wow rip hugh.
-
I heard the news and was surprised. He looked like he was going to outlive everyone else.
-
What good is it if a man gains the whole world, but cant save his own soul.

Hello! :D :)
So sorry to hear that I was surprised when I saw that in the New York Times may his soul be at peace. I'm going to try my best to make good use of my time "live your dream." :rose:
-
Hadn't heard that either. I wonder how many claims will there be against his estate.

"Do you really think he's in a better place?" Haha

I am sure that he died a happy man, at a good old age. I saw a picture of his sons yesterday. I did not know that he had kids, but I guess they did not want to be in the spot light. RIP.

Unless you think making mud-pies is paradise!
-
Rest in peace Hugh Hefner!

The dude died on hump day...how fitting!
-
Wow! I thought he died a long time ago! Sorry & RIP!
-
wow i was so shocked,,,, :(
-
I wonder how many women he has in his will?
???
-
It is a sad situation. RIP Hugh. :rose:

As the song says, he lived his life "my way," meaning according to his own set of values. He was a pioneer in sexuality, more or less bringing sex out of the closet. I think he died with few regrets. I think he viewed life after death somewhat untraditionally from the purist Christian view. To each, their own. RIP, Hef.
-
I heard he died of cardiac arrest too, like Tom Petty. Then it said a few other things like E.Coli and some blood poisoning and lung suffocation.
-
Not sure he set feminism ahead like some have stated, but Playboy seriously does have very good articles. ;)
RIP to this journalism pioneer.
-
I never really cared for him. There was just something about him that I just did not like. I did like his magazine though but I have not seen one in years.
-
RIP ... He lived a good life here on earth. I was saddened to hear of his loss. I'm sure he will be missed.
-
Wow that's a huge bummer huge lost, who's going to take over the mansion now ?
-
And so an era ends. Whether you agree with Playboy or not, Hugh was an icon.
-
rip
-
He was a very rich man, had lots of women, well models, and some in a personal relationship. Wonder if his magazine will continue to be published? But RIP Mr. Hefner.
-
The mansion had been sold a while back with the stipulation that he could live in it until he passed.
I think it was neighbors who bought it to incorporate into the property they already had.
-
I've heard that his mansion wasn't nearly as nice as it was made out to be. That its rooms were a bit on the shabby side and crappily decorated
-
I came across the info on the news! I have to say that i know everyone have mixed feelings about this life style but i do have to say he was one of the few who stood out and did something no one/ few people could do!

Well, he can now laid to rest next to Marilyn Monroe’s crypt. I have read that Hefner purposely bought his burial plot next to Monroe for $75,000 back in 1992, so in today’s value it is worth $130,222.56. In his own words, “Spending an eternity next to Marilyn is too sweet to pass up.” One of these days I should pay homage to Marilyn Monroe just to see if he actualized his wish.
