Without even realizing it until just today my newest hobby is collecting interesting pens, some I found like a skull one, netflix one and others I bought(better than those generic crappy bics.
-
Collecting can be fun but can get out of hand and then you have too much stuff. I spent many years collecting things like spoons, angels, candle holders, etc., now I have too much stuff so I have started doing surveys as a hobby.
-
i do not think i have a hobby. i better look fir one soon.
-
Yeah I know all too well hobby excess with my dvds and everytime I try to organize them I get more. I actually had a wall shelf collapse one time on me and buried me in dvds and my room(took hours to dig out and days to fix) Probably could have been the first person ever to die by dvds(metal shelf end could have impaled me)but dvds are fun, items can be given away, sold, traded so why not definitely safer than most(extreme sports) and not costly(hunting,diving,tennis....)

My job is my hobby. I enjoy decorating with frosting. Any kind for that matter... it's all a challenge. I enjoy it so much most of my days off I'm baking something to be topped off another day. In the last couple of years I've gotten so gung ho I've taken courses and registered with the county. Now I can do custom orders and farmers markets. Now all I need is time.

Do you read Mike Hammer(Spillane) and Travis McGee (McDonald)?
-
I don't have a hobby. I like to do a lot of different stuff, it depends on my mood. I want to get into working out more and pampering myself. I haven't had the time to do those things as much as I like.

My hobbies are arts and crafts stuff. I have several drawers around my house that I refer to as my "craft drawers," but my husband calls them my "crap drawers," because I never finish anything, LOL! My other hobby was collecting cookie jars, but now I've got so many that I've started collecting cardinals (the bird) instead because they're smaller.
-
I suppose mine would be all sorts of arts and crafts stuff. Sometimes i think I like to try too many things to ever get really good at any one of them.
-
Does reading count? I greatly enjoy reading, making jewelry, and drawing. I can't think of anything else I consider a "hobby." Well, I haven't done it too much yet, but I guess another one is blogging. :)

I use to love target shooting(had a black diamond 22 and a bolt action mossberg 22 both with scopes)would spend 50 bucks here and there and get hundreds of rounds. and shoot everything from bottles and cans to dollar store plastic soldiers and toys when paper targets got boring. Also bought a professional pneumatic pellet gun and 2 co2 powered bb guns as well as a paintball one. Unfortunately no private property to shoot anymore and no close target ranges anymore. Once in awhile I shoot the pneumatic pellet but the rest are stored away.

Yeah, I belong to a paid private Sportsmans club and once in awhile go to a paid hourly range....lucky to have 3 Public indoor ranges close by within a decent driving distance.
I don't know anyone anymore with private land.... :-\

I use to buy jigsaws and do them until I bought used ones and pieces were missing. I stopped buying new ones since once they're done there's no use for them. Love movies esp. dvds(buy them at my local Salvation army for a buck a piece including boxsets, rent them at my library(copy them to my harddrives for me to enjoy all the time.) buy them at my local dollar tree too. I even get loads of blu-rays. I just picked up a Hallmark dvd "When Calls the heart among the 16 I bought today.

Yeah back in the 70's 80's and 90's me and my dad and our gun buddies had access to farms, gun and bow ranges (by 2000 owners were dying or selling their land, gun clubs were losing their leases to properties, the bow and gun ranges were closing up) It's a shame because it's enjoyable as long as you're responsible.
-
Lucky my club owns 158 acres and farmland bordering that....very rural area....should be okay for awhile.
Go to the NRA website...should be somewhere for you to shoot, although it won't be private land...... :moneymouth:
-
I love to draw, paint and bake
-
Thanks, but I know my area and it's all gone(100's of acres of land at Bud Lake sold and turned into a private horse farm(horses and gunfire don't mix) Gunclubs lost their leases and lands sold and built on,Gun ranges closed down/sold whether private or public. I'll survive w/o it. It was fun though.

Mine is fitness.

Back in the 80's and 90's I collected beatles cds and others and still have them all,I played darts in the mid and late 90's when I lived next to my aunt's bar.
-
Mine is fitness.
In the 1980's I was a psycho for fitness(working out in my basement with free weights, joined a gym, inhabited a local vitamin store and bought everything from protein powder-all different vitamins and minerals.Jogging was big too.) I still jog but eat healthy instead of supplements and powders.
-
I like to collect old horror movies, especially the Hammer films of the late 50's and 60's.
I love movies from a bygone age from Hammer-Harryhausen. I have several Hammer/Hammer type ones on dvd and the one that stands out is The 7 vampires about Chinese Vampires.
-
My hobby is fitness,i like it!
-
Reading and painting plaster Christmas houses to add to my village that I put every year. The buildings are getting harder to find so when I see them I buy all the ones I do have and work on them during the year.

Arts and crafts

Planning, watching Netflix, and reading.

Hobbies can sneak up on you; I realized last year I enjoy collecting planners.
-
I have an interest in (gel) pens too, but not as a collecting hobby. I've had gel pens in many different colors including white and orange. My most recently purchased gel pen has brown ink.
-
I have loads of hobbies including doing logic puzzles, knitting, crocheting, reading, running, travelling and doing yardwork. I used to collect stamps but had the same problem a lot of you are having - finding space for all the stuff you collect.
-
When i was young, I collected stuffed animals, mostly teddies, and pennants from places we visited (with parents). As an adult, I collected Avon and dolls, going through a second childhood looking for dolls popular when I was a kid, those with open mouths and teeth. and eyes that open and closed, plus porcelain dolls.
Then as an older adult,I got into genealogy and have a library of books (some rare) and CDs that would rival any small genealogy society.
I'd love to pare down my stuff now but the bottom dropped out of all the markets and I'd really take a huge hit if I tried to sell them. So, what else is new? That's been my life.
-
I like playing games on facebook, reading, watching TV and making jewelry. My daughter and I have started making jewelry for sale. We make earrings, necklaces and bracelets.
-

That is interesting. I collect magnets from places I have been with my family. We put them all on the refrigerator.
-
I have a friend that collects pens too.
-
I also love to work out; I seem to do my best brain storming during work outs and long drives.
Mine is fitness.
-
my hobby is jewelry making

I have various hobbies.
-
I really like theater performing arts (especially imrov comedy), creative writing and jigsaw puzzle solving. Probably could list others but those are the big ones.
-
I love to read, write, play video games, and - as bad as this may sound to some - making money on a daily basis.
-
I like to play video games, read, ATV/Snowmobile (during the appropriate seasons), hiking, and basically anything that keeps me busy! I'm not the type of person who can just sit around and watch TV all day. I remember being a kid, and always telling my parents how bored I was. My dad would say "well do you need to constantly be doing something", and I would be like "well yeah". Now as an adult, my poor husband gets to deal with my constant desire to be doing something!
-
i like growing things like veggies and flowers,,,
-
Gardening, crocheting, fishing, kayaking, reading, video games, writing, walking, jewelry making. I've had a lot of hobbies over the years, but these are the ones that stuck.
