I saw a guy at the store with tattoos on his face. He had on a short-sleeved shirt and the tattoo proceeded down one of his arms and I could see it on his neck (I can only assume that it is on his chest as well. How far is too far when getting these.

ONE is too many in my opinion.

One is one too many, I agree.
My young adult grand-daughters got one to memorialize their daddy who died a few years back, but the other choices they have made they will probably regret when they are in their mid-20's.
You pick 'em, you live with them forever.....

One tattoo is too many. Do these people ever wonder what those tattoos will look like when they are in their 50's or 60's. I t makes me shudder just thinking about it.
-
I don't care for them, and think they are ugly, But too each his own I guess, I know some people who are now my age that wish they had never gotten them, I also have young adult nieces who have a lot and it is such a disturbing look and they are so attractive without them.

Even worse in your 80's

Agree! Lol

I don't like tattoos at all. I feel one day everyone will regret getting them.
Just because you put something permanently on your body today because it is important to you doesn't mean it will be important 5 years down the road.

I have one on my ankle, my daughter has 3, one on each foot and one on her back. if they can be hidden i don't care how many you have. if they are all out in the open I hate them .
-
I guess I'm going to say, "To each, their own" on this one. However, when people carry them to their face and neck, I think they can be kind of hideous. I also don't like it when young, pretty girls are getting married in their wedding dress, and you see a bunch of tattoos on their shoulders, chest, and arms. Doesn't paint a pretty picture!
-
I think that a couple of tattoos are okay, but not covering you entire body. I personally don't want any tattoos, but to each their own.
-
I've seen people with so many tattoos on their arms it looked like they were wearing a long sleeved colorful t shirt.
One is too many in my opinion. :monkey: :monkey:

I think some tattoos look awesome while others look terrible. It really depends what their design is. But when people start getting them on their face, I think that's going too far.
-
I do not care or tattoos. Once you get one, they are permanent on your skin. You can only remove them through a laser.
-
I have no idea. I guess it depends on the person. Tattoos use to be a tuff guy thing but now it is a trend. I would say any tattoos are too many now. ::)
-
When they go over the entire body, that's a bit much.
-
I say to each his own but I do think they should be in places that can be covered.
-
one, I don't like to see ink on bodies
-
I like tattoos, but when they start covering a person's face I think it's too much.
-
I hate them. My niece has probably over 20, some on the chest (you can see if she wears a T-shirt, on her arms, a huge one on her leg, on her fingers, back, and back of neck. She is a pretty girl and only 21, I think as she gets older she will regret them, but it’s too late then. Thankfully neither if my daughters (or their husbands) have any.
-
I cannot answer that for you as I have none. I bet they look great on you, just not my thing!
-
Really depends on the person. I have one and would, maybe, like to get more someday. Small ones, nothing too big. It's just one of those things that not everyone is going to like.
-
depends on the person...me-i say all are too many..but i don't criticise anyone that has them...both my daughters have them...as does my son in law and several family members...my son in law does a lot of his own...me personally i don't like them
-
What a gracious reply; it's becoming too typical that when people don't agree with something or someone they get disrespectful. I expect this of young immature people but that's not always the case.

After some thought I decided to reconsider this question. My wife has three on her left breast that I am utterly grateful for. They are three little dots the radiologist use to align his machine that zapped the cancer and saved her life.
-
I don't like them at all, so having one is to many for me!
-
to each his own I have none and really think they look awful when they have so many
-
just depends how they look,,,,,,,, :peace:

One sounds like a good number. This kid had an eagle put on his arm when he was 16. He's 32 now and always were long sleeve shirts because not it looks like a disabled rooster since the muscle turned to flab. I feel it's a waste of money, time and marking up the body.
-
I guess that depends on individual preference. It's not really my place to judge. Though, I prefer, personally, to be tattoo free. Some are very pretty, but there's definitely nothing I'd want to wear my whole life.

I have a good friend that retired from the Navy and he has often told me how much he regrets all the times he got drunk and added to his collection.
