The Night Court judge was only 65 when he died. What a shame. I still don't know all the details of what happened.
Ironically, just last night I was watching some of the older sitcoms from that same era. I googled the cast of the program I was watching to see if everyone was still alive. Most of the cast members of that show are alive; they are averaging about 70 years of age.
I guess we will find out more in the upcoming days. :(

We were fans of Night Court all those years ago. TV shows were limited at that time so I"m not sure if it were a show on today we would watch it given the choices. I didn't realize he was residing in Asheville, NC. beautiful city. I also have not heard any details as to the cause of his death.

I agree - I really liked his Harry the Hat character on Cheers. The episode where he helped Coach get his money back from a swindler was one of my favorites!

It's so sad...we are losing people left and right. I used to love watching him on Night Court as a child. Actors just aren't the same these days. :-\

I'm so saddened about this. :( Night Court was one of my favorite shows growing up. So young, too.

So sad to hear that he passed. Reruns stopped running years ago. Wish they would put them back on.

Night Court was a staple of my childhood (sort of). I was born in the 1980s, but I remember watching the show in syndication and Harry Anderson certainly stood out. Not only because he played a major character, but he was extremely funny. May he rest in paradise. :(

I hadn't heard about this when it happened. In fact I believe it was just yesterday I was posting about how Night Court was my favorite T.V. Court show. His character was such a down to earth American dude - After night court I don't know if he did anything else? Did he?
