It's National Bowling Day! Do you bowl? I've tried but I'm horrible at it! ;D

Used to have 15 in my area, down to about 7 now.... :o

I bowled on 2 leagues before I got married. One was a mixed league which was fun and the other was a women's league and that one was very competitive. I had a 160 average and really miss it. My husband hates bowling

When I was younger I enjoyed bowling, now I cant, my knees pop in and out whenever they feel like it so most likely would not be good to try

I have always loved to Bowl, even as a Child. I live in the Country now and there are no bowling Alley"s where I live now. Bummer. :(

No bowling alleys where I live, either. Used to be a weekly Saturday night outing with my boyfriend, now hubby. Wasn't very good but it was fun.

I like to bowl, but not many people do it anymore. Plus, like some posts said, there are so very few bowling alleys around. I think no one wants to take the time to get good at some things, like bowling.
But it can be lots of fun even if you're not too good. I never was that good, but it's exciting when you make a strike or a spare. :thumbsup:

I haven't been bowling in a long time a few years actually. I like it but I'm not very good at it.

I like bowling, it is a good date thing - keeps you busy but you can still talk ;)

I do in fact I am going to be doing bowling in the special Olympics this year and by the way I am not great at it either but it is a game and meant to be fun so LET'S HAVE FUN

I miss the days when we used to go bowling always like to bowl got pretty good at it for a while but haven't been so long I probably couldn't even get the ball down the lane anymore

I've tried bowling. I'm not very good at it. My mother was on a bowling league for as long as I could remember, though.

Was it on the 11th or today the 25th? I used to bowl, don't have strength anymore in my hands to hold or throw a ball.

yes about a year ago I bowled for the first time in about 20 years did good and in sept thru nov of this year me and my fiancée will be bowling with the special Olympics

Love bowling but it really is hard do after long time. I’m so rusty at bowling now

You know, I always see people bowling, but for some reason, I do not see the fun in it...

I haven't bowled in years. We used to go over Christmas break when I was in college. We went some when our kids were little.
I always felt good if I broke 100!

I am not much an athletic/sporty person to begin with. So it would be a resounding NO from me. However, I have several family members and friends who make it a weekly event to go to the local bowling alley. Some of the games they have are extremely competitive.

I have not been bowling in over 40 years,,,, and that is so sad. Used to go all the time before I had kids. it was a good date night and we would go with friends. I probably couldn't get the ball down the lane now :)

My dad taught me to bowl when I was eight years old. I became quite good at it. I haven't been bowling for decades.

Ive tried bowling and like it and made plans to go but i dodnt get around to it some of my friends like and do it regularly and like it seems fun whenever i see it have a good time.

I like bowling but have not gone in quite a long while. When I was in high school I joined a league and remember having my name mentioned on the school intercom after finishing with the highest score. :)
One of the major networks used to televise the PBA on the weekends. My parents and I would watch bowling when I visited them. That was so much fun. :thumbsup:

I love bowling. I have not bowled in years but I do really like it. I use to bowl a lot when I was little.

Ive only bowled maybe 3 times one with my aunt and uncle then with my family and boyfriend the first time i wasnt good at it then when i bowled with my boyfriend he was upset that i beat him.

i love bowling , I am not very good at it , but i try my best . Its a fun . my parents on a bowling team out on the Air base , they enjoy it . they meet all kinds of people , they talk about who won or who had the most points .

I'm a pretty athletic person. I play college basketball and everything. But for some reason I can't bowl more than an 8 pound ball lol. I'm 6ft and have the hand size of a 9 year old but i'm not super super weak. Maybe it's my bowling mechanics lol. I thought long arms would be an advantage. I can barely get the thing to move over 10mph!!

It is fun but I am definitely not good at it. I get a lot of gutter *bleep*!
