Do you still go to the movie theatre or do you watch movies at home?
I have not been to the movies in a few years. I am thinking about going soon, if I do go, I will go on a Saturday, early morning.
-
The prices are to out of line now.... :bad:
-
I haven't been to the movie theater in years, the prices are outrageous, I'd rather watch one at home either on Netflix, a DVD or rent one On-Demand. 8) 8)

For the past several years I have been watching all movies at home either on DVD or streaming them from Amazon Prime Video. But I think it is totally worth it in terms of fun to go to a movie theater and eat popcorn while you watch a movie on a big screen. I think I will make a point of doing that at least a couple times in 2019.
-
I never went to a movie theater since i came to USA.
-
I watch movies at home. I have not been to a movie theater in a long time.
-
I like to go to movies sometimes. No commercials and no way you can catch up on household chores or answer your phone. :P
If you go on certain days in many areas, you can still get a good price of admission. 8)
And I often will pay full price for Christian movies in order to support them. :angel11:
:fish:

I still go to movie theaters at least once a month as long as there are good movies out. I usually catch a movie at ten in the morning on Sundays because the cost is only five dollars. I will go out to a movie with my wife at one of the old Gatsby-era theaters once every six weeks or so and catch movies that are not in the main stream theaters-usually the Oscar contenders or movies with sub titles. I like being able to watch a movie without commercials and only the occasional cough from an audience member. It is kind of like a one hundred and thirty minute vacation for me where I do not have to look at a computer screen or answer my phone. I watch a movies on my phone but it just isn't the same thing looking at a really small screen with my reading glasses on.
-
been a long time since i have been to the movies..usually just catch something on vudu at home
-
It has been a while since I have seen a movie in a Theater. Just have not seen any movie that catches my interest that much to pay that much to see. It's pretty sad when the snacks you buy at the theater are more than the movie tickets themselves.

Sometimes. We have a theater that has a low price for all movies at all times. Everything is the same price all the time. So they do well. They make their money off the $9 drinks and $12 popcorn.
-
I find that it isn't worth the money to see movies in a physical movie theater. Tickets cost too much, especially since the discounted theater in my hometown closed. If I really want to see the movie, I just wait until I can rent it for cheap from Redbox or Family Video. However, if I love a movie franchise and want to help make sure they keep making them, I will consider going to the new release in theater.
-
I never go unless it's at a discount theater. I haven't seen a movie in years that was actually worth $14 or whatever it is now not to mention I don't like the theater experience. Does it have to be so ear bleedingly loud? Sticky floors, kids kicking seats... no thanks I'd rather watch on TV.
-
I watch movies at home. Theaters have become too expensive.
-
We used to have a second run movie theater that was $5.00 a person but closed and turned into an Artvan....movies were 6 moths old but at least you didn't have to take out bank loan to see a movie....two people with pop/popcorn and movie would be $20.
Now it cost $15 per person just to get in! :o
-
I haven't been to the movie theater in years. It's just too expensive. I watch movie on Netflix.
-
I like to go the the movies but have been watching more movies at home lately.
-
I ordinarily watch movies at home. I don’t ordinarily feel interested in whatever plays in movie theaters nowadays.
-
i see a lot of movies while i give platelets
-
I have only went too the movies I believe twice in the last 15 years. I think it is such a rip off anymore and the movies that are coming out these days are terrible for the most part.
-
We rarely go see a movie at the theatre, it is too expensive for one thing, secondly the young people who go are so rude, they always jumping up , running to get something, visiting and talking to loud. kicking the back of your chair or hitting you in the head when they get up with their oversize purses . I like a lot of my older friends would love to go once in awhile, but they complain about the same thing. Oh well just look at the money we save.
-
We haven't been in a couple years. Did get a gift certificate this year for christmas, so we wilol need to look for somethig worth watching. There's not much :-\
-
I haven't been to a movie theater in a few years, but I enjoy my movie time on Netflix in between going to the movies.
-
Agree with others getting too expensive but do try to go at least every quarter just to do something different as we still try to a a date night once a month after 35 years of marriage
-
the movie theatre
-
We still goes to the movie theater once a month. That's our date night with the hubby after diner from the restaurant. Price is a little bit higher but we need to enjoy life sometimes.
-
We still go to the movie theatres and try to go on discounted nights.
-
No I haven't been in years or have any desire to go. Even years ago last I went people talked and made noise through the whole thing and I have trouble getting around so I just as soon stay home where I am comfortable don't have to put up with someone's rudeness and LOL the snacks are certainly cheaper. So no movie theatre for me.
-
We go every now and then. Going to the movies has gotten expensive.
-
Neither really, but if anything, at home....theaters are way too expensive...
-
Dh and I only go to the theater for the movies with lots of action or special effects. About once a month.
-
I hardly go anymore but unless there is a film I really am willing to see on the big screen then I would go.
-
 :in-love:   I do attend a movie theater from time to time. Must be a good movie playing that I would want to see, before I go to watch. Some of them don't look that good for me to pay that kind of money to watch there, I will wait to watch it later. :in-love:

I didn't go much for many years but, have recently, started a subscription with AMC. You get 3 movies a week, any movie, including 3D, IMAX, any time, for $20 a mo. It's a good deal. I don't usually get my 3 movies a week in but, I usually get 2 a week in so I still think it's a good deal.
-
Now a days I don't have time & money to go the movies.
-
I haven't been to a movie theatre since 1997. Did almost go to a discount one the other day, but alas, I didn't. 8)
-
I rarely go to the theatres anymore, but I will this month when Captain Marvel comes out. So excited!
-
I'm not big on going to the theater but my partner likes to go and I will admit we've seen some great films in the theater recently. My favorites were A Star Is Born and Vice. Both were up for best picture, neither won, but I also didn't see the film that won. I'll have to check it out.
-

Our movie theater has new releases for $5. I still sometimes would rather just wait a bit and purchase it at Walmart. I got the House with a Clock in the Walls for $20 yesterday. I got BlueRay, DVD, and Digital all for $20. And it is mine forever.
-
It's been years since I've been to the movie theater. It just got too expensive for me so I just enjoy movies at home now.
-
It has been years since I went to a Movie Theatre. I find them to be unsanitary. I hate when my feet has stepped on something that is sticky.
-
I haven't gone to a movie theater in over a year. There really hasn't been anything out that has caught my attention. Plus, it's expensive.
-
Do you still go to the movie theatre or do you watch movies at home?
I have not been to the movies in a few years. I am thinking about going soon, if I do go, I will go on a Saturday, early morning.
I watch movies at home because it is much cheaper than going out
-
I go to a movie theater roughly once a year when I go to Boston to visit my daughter. We both love to buy popcorn and watch the film on a large screen. But the whole rest of the time I take movies out of my local library and watch them on a DVD at home. The really good movies don't show up as available at the library until the Oscars are over with usually.
-
Yes, still go to the movies not on a regular bases though; the last time I was there about a month ago I did see some trailers for upcoming movies I would like to see so guess over the next few months will be their a little more often.
-
I go to the theatre occasionally as a treat. Usually it is because there is a special movie that I just want to see on the big screen because of the action and special effects. There is also a theatre in my town that has $4 matinees on certain days. I never get the food or drinks. They soak you on that stuff!
-
Only when I really want to see a movie. I saw Captain Marvel last month and I'm definitely going to the theatres next month when Rocketman comes out.
-
I have not in years and years , can't even remember when last was. Movies are at home for me due to my back being messed up i can't sit for a long time with out getting up.
-
I stopped many years going to the movie theater. The floors are so unsanitary with food being thrown on the floors and your shoes sticking to the floor.
-
Sometimes I think about going to a move theatre but haven't been in many years. Seems like there is so much evil in the world I am getting so I hate to even leave my house. Besides the last two times I went people talked so loud and didn't even pay attention to the movie it was impossible to enjoy and my husband and I ended up getting up and leaving.
-
I go to the movie theater maybe once a year when a movie comes out that really interest me and I want to see it on the big screen. I wait for everything else.
-
My wife loves the movies, so we go a couple of times a month, but I get free admission and popcorn from my Internet websites. I know we could get Blueray disks or rentals, but there are some movies that are not the same without the Big Screen and THX sound.
-
I don't go to theater's, watch movies at home.
