It give me a reason to stay inside the house and relax...that is on the days that I do not have to work. Most of the time I am running around at stores and time slips by, so the rainy days keep me on track with cleaning the house, relaxing and doing things that I have put on the back burner.

I like the way it smells on rainy days. I like to sit by the fire and watch it rain if I can. I don't really like to be out driving in it.
-
Well, my allergies are sometimes better on rainy days. Not always, but sometimes I luck out.

I agree with the smell. It's something about rain that can sometimes freshen the air a bit.
I like to listen to the rain fall at times and feel it can be gentle and soothing, especially at night as I'm going to sleep. My favorite days used to be rainy days years ago. I know some people can consider them a bit more sad, but it's just something I can't describe about rainy days that actually gave me a better, happier mood. Now I more prefer clear days as I've gotten older, but I still enjoy the occasional rainy day, just staying in the house and watching it fall for a few minutes.

I don't mind rainy days as long as I don't have to get out in it. If it is cold and rainy that is a good time to wrap up and take a nap.
-
What I like best about rainy days is the sound of the rain hitting the ground. I love to listen to it and cuddle up under a blanket with a really good book.
-
I work mainly outside so the only thing I like about rainy days during the week is that my day may be shortened due to them.
-
I love rainy days. I like the sound of the rain and the calmness it brings.

I sleep best when it rains.

The smell is so refreshing, I LOVE the sound of rain to calm me and fall asleep to (thunder is a bonus) and I like how time seems to stand still when the sky is totally overcast.
-
I always loved rain too. Mother said I was born during a thunderstorm. I don't have to water the yard.
-
time permitting a rainy day is time for me to have nap and relax.Otherwise i will do paperwork and clean the house if i am not working. :rainbow: :peace:

Rainy days are good for naps and sitting on the front porch watching the wildlife go by.

I really don't like rainy days if I have to be out in the rain. But it helps to appreciate the sun.

I relax, watch Netflix, sleep in, and listen to music. I love how calming it is on rainy days.

Curling up with a good book.

I love rainy days for sleeping
-
I like the sound and smell of rain

I love the fresh scent of rain because it helps me breath better than smoggy days.
I am not one of those people who "like to sing in the rain". I stay at home because
I do not like getting wet. I am not like Barbra Streisand who says in her song:
I do not even mind if I get wet.
-
I like the cooling breeze it leaves after the rain passes and the sun comes back out. Plus, if there is a rainbow that is nice :rainbow:
-
I like when it stops and cools down :D
-
Rain feeds plants and protects availability of water.
-
When it is raining on a balmy day, I love to sit out on the porch and breath in the clean damp air. Then may be go into the house and take a nap, Listen to the rain on the metal roof. And if it cool enough or cold make some cookies and a nice hot bowl of Chili .

Best thing I like is staying in the house all warm and dry and cozy and usually sleeping. Now if you want to know what I hate it is taking son to work in the rain and getting wet as water pours off my roof at the entrance/exit to my house.

I totally agree with you. Dark skies make people sleepy, but nobody likes to get wet from rain (probably except waterfowl).

The best thing I like a about rainy days is the way the rain can calm me. I love to watch it fall on the leaves and drown the window panes. When I lived in a trailer, I would love to hear it fall on the tin roof. When it rains, I love to sit on the couch, wrapped in a blanket, and read a good mystery. Then after the rain, I see how green the grass has become.

I love rainy days as long as there aren't too many in a row. I love thunderstorms at night. I love watching the lightning. I even love running in the rain if it's not too cold. Everyone seems to love the smell of rain. I was curious why rain has a smell, so I looked it up...
One of these odors, called "petrichor," lingers when rain falls after a prolonged dry spell. Petrichor — the term was coined in 1964 by two Australian scientists studying the smells of wet weather — is derived from a pair of chemical reactions.
Some plants secrete oils during dry periods, and when it rains, these oils are released into the air. The second reaction that creates petrichor occurs when chemicals produced by soil-dwelling bacteria known as actinomycetes are released. These aromatic compounds combine to create the pleasant petrichor scent when rain hits the ground.
Another scent associated with rain is ozone. During a thunderstorm, lightning can split oxygen and nitrogen molecules in the atmosphere, and they in turn can recombine into nitric oxide. This substance interacts with other chemicals in the atmosphere to form ozone, which has a sharp smell faintly reminiscent of chlorine.

I love that it has been raining here in Southern California a couple times a week, briefly. It gives all my plants a good soaking, free water is a blessing here even though it has been raining quite a bit. It's been super cold though for MAY... hopefully we will have a relatively cool summer & not in the 110s like last year.

Hello!
I just enjoy the calmness it provides and the excuse it gives you to do nothing and relax. Highly recommend it with a good book. :)

The sound of it falling and I just need to wipe my car the next day.
-
I love everything about rainy days. I especially like thunder and lighting, the sound of the rain, the darkness. Everything!
-
A rainy day just has a different feel to it. I do like the smell and the sound when it's falling gently on the roof. It's a good time to curl up with FusionCash or a good book. In cooler weather, a cup of hot chocolate adds to the ambience. On the other hand, if I am keeping my granddog, a rainy day is no fun. She identifies rain with thunder and whether it's raining or not, she displays anxiety with shivering, chattering teeth, and clingyness! I do have some music that was made to relieve stress in dogs which helps, but sometimes it's slow working.

there's a sense of calm about them.....and an excuse to stay indoors....
-
I don't know about days, but I love when it thunderstorms are night. It's a nice "white noise" - usually helps me sleep better.
-
I like rainy days because my garden needs them.
-
I just like to be inside my home on rainy days. I like to watch movies or talk on the phone and catch up with people I haven't spoken to in a while.
-
Sleeping, looking at tv. Listening to the rain and thunder as it hits the windows and roof.
-
Rainy days I love staying in and watching a mystery movie. My grandma, God Rest Her Soul, used to say a mystery is always that much better when it's rainy outside.
-
I love rainy days for the sound of the rain, listening to it while my window is cracked, getting excellent sleep, watching a good movie.
-
I love the sound of the rain on my roof, this just put me to sleep
-
Honestly, I love the sound of rain on my roof. It is therapeutic for some strange reason.
-
Personally rain always makes me down. I use it as a day to nap and take in extra snuggle time with my kitties.
