I learned a new technique for troubleshooting surveys recently. It started when I was taking a survey and had spent some time on it when the pop up window said that I had lost my connection and gave me an error message. At first I panicked that I had wasted my time, but then it occurred to me to copy the URL from the pop-up window and paste it into a new tab in my browser. It worked (though I had to re-answer the previous question again) and the survey credited. Something to keep in mind for the future.

Very good suggestion, annadote, thank you so much for sharing it. Though it doesn't happen to me very often at all, there have been times where my connection gets cut off at the most inopportune time.
I will try to remember not to panic, ( which I think is what many of us would automatically do ). I'm also happy for you that the survey gave you credit. :)

Good suggestion, annadote. I have a hard time not panicking about everything. It pays to be smarter than that. 8)

Oh wow, that's great to know. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip, that's a great idea! Sometimes, mostly on other sites though, I just refresh the page and it continues on. I don't have access to hardly any surveys here :(

I have had that happen several times. I usually just try to get my connection back and then refresh. But in the past I have copied and pasted the URL.

Thanks for the tip. It might not always work but it is worth trying.

Thanks, will come in handy.

Thanks for sharing that! I have had that occur and it never dawned on me to copy the URL!

I have had that happen to me and I either press the back button or refresh but sometimes it is in a separate window and I can not go back and it doesn't have a refresh arrow on it. So that's good to know.

I would have refreshed the page, but since it was in a pop-up window that wasn't an option. On a side note, I know how it feels to hardly qualify for surveys. Keep trying (disqualification pennies add up) and you will find some surveys that you can complete and be credited for.

The way I see it, when it happens you have nothing to lose by trying. If you do nothing, you won't get credit for the survey, but at least attempting to take it to a new tab gives you the chance of completing and being credited for the survey.

That is a great tip, though it has been a while since I copied and pasted anything. I have ATT internet and some days lose my connection regularly and it is such a bumber to happen at the end of a long survey. :(

That is a very good tip. That has happened to me a few times and I was extremely frustrated but I will try this next time!

Yeah, you are right, a pop-up window usually can't be refreshed. So your idea of coping the URL is a great idea. Also, if you have completed the survey, or are in the middle or where ever, take a screen shot. You never know when that can be helpful. Actually, I can't even try any surveys for the 1 cent, I used to be able to, but there literally are none listed anymore. So I don't have that option, but thanks for the encouragement anyhow!!

Copy and pasting is easy. Just click on the URL (link) and it should turn blue. Then right click on it and choose "copy". When you are ready to paste it somewhere, just right click and choose paste! Hope this helps!

Thanks for the suggestion. I will keep that in mind. In the past, I have simply been able to refresh the page and get credit, when applicable. I know a popup can't be refreshed, so if this happens, I will know to try your suggestion.

Ahh thank you for that tip! Anything to make it easier is appreciated!
