Title: Rain
Post by: debidoo on June 08, 2019, 07:40:53 am
Generally I like it when it rains because I stay inside most of the time but I don't like going out in it which I did this morning to take my son to work.  I am not going to complain though because it has been extremely dry here with high fire potential so the rain we are getting is a blessing. What is the weather like where you are?

I like the rain too. It can cool down our temps a bit when we are having a hot day (It can get really muggy here due to the humiidity so a bit of a cooldown in the summer is highly welcome. We don't get extremely hot, but the humidity makes it worse). I like to hear the pitter patter it makes and it seems to make the atmosphere feel calm and peaceful when it's a quiet rain for me.

Here it's been very nice. Mainly in the mid 70's with breezy, balmy tshirt weather that you can sleep well in with the window open and no A/C. It got up to the 80's a few times but it wasn't bad. We won't have it stay there until next month according to the local forecast so I'm enjoying it before it gets hot and sweaty out.

We've had a lot of rain here in Memphis.  Some nearby homes have even flooded.

I feel so bad  for  every one is has been flooded out, thankful that we are not  where it floods, or all of the other nasty weather they  get.  But there  are times that we are praying for  rain  everyday and maybe we will get a little every  few weeks.  If we get an inch in a couple of  days  during the month  we  are  truly blessed,  But we do live in the high desert of New Mexico.  So can't expect a lot.  Although  once in a  great while we will  get 2" and then it gets hairy.

I don't really like driving in the rain if I can help it other wise I like when it rains. I like walking in the rain sometimes as long as it is not a down pour.

I as going to say California.  I have family who live there and they get very little rain.  It was getting pretty dry in my area but we have had rain the past few days.  So all is good.

The month of May was the wettest month of record in my City.
It was really a blessing because we are in the Fire Season.
     Any rain really helps!

I am in NC about 1 hour north of Charlotte. Our weather has been pretty rough May was Hot Hot Hot including 10 days in a row in the mid 90's, about 3 weeks with no rain and now massive amounts of rain with flooding, road closures, mud slides in the mountains.  I am very fortunate I am on high ground and most of my normal travel is high ground, but so much so close is not so lucky.

I'd be very happy if it only rained at night like only the hours I am asleep.

I do enjoy a good rain and even a thunderstorm. BUT we have had so much rain these last few months; it's very frustrating when you have yard work to do! Plus the grass grows too fast with all this rain.

I love the rain; we get a break from the heat and it provides a soothing atmosphere.

It's flooding in certain parts here in Arkansas, which has held me up from getting business taken care of in certain parts of town.  Hopefully it will go down soon.

I am here in Georgia and we have had nothing but Rain all Weekend long. I like the Rain, but it has been very bad Flooding which I do not like. It is supposed to Rain until Monday Night. I will be glad to see some Sun again if it was not so Hot. Our Temperatures have been reaching up to 104 Degrees. That is too Hot for me.

I live in NC also, about an hour from Winston-Salem and we have had a lot of rain and now it is only supposed to be in the 70's for a few weeks, strange weather.

We have had so much rain here in Kentucky today it was sunny nothing going on one second looked out the window the next second it was absolutely a monsoon it was ridiculously coming down and has been every since I do think part of Kentucky are under flood watches I hope we’re going to be able to get some of this rain in July or August when we need it the most
