How many fans do you have on right now since its the summer ? or did you just gave out and opened the AC ? or neither and went the open Window/Door green option ? I went with the fan option and have one mid size fan blowing from my room door into my room and a small one blowing at me when I'm using the PC.

my doors and windows are always open in the summertime. unless it is very hot and humid then i will turn on the ac. that doesn't happen very often here in MA. live by the water. yesterday i was wearing a sweatshirt. :rainbow: :peace:

Fortunately I have AC so I don't need fans..
-
We have AC but also use fans for better circulation...two ceiling fans and 1 box fan
-
I haven't had to turn on any fans, but the day is coming when I will.
-
We have AC and nonstop whole day but we one fan on the bedroom cos my husband wanted always to be freezin. lol
-
None. I use the AC. It is to hot without it on. And neighbors are too loud and I don't want to listen to them.

We have been using a fan regularly for the last couple of weeks, but it has nothing to do with the temperature. We had a freak rainstorm in our neighborhood that ended up with flooding along a small creek. We NEVER have flooding in this area, so it must have been an extreme amount of rain. About that time we noticed that the carpet was wet in our back bedroom. Again, that's never happened before, but we could only figure it had something to do with the amount of rain we'd had since our house was built on a concrete slab. We've been running the fan to dry out the carpet. So far so good!

Air conditioner is on all during the summer. We also have one ceiling fan in the kitchen and two in the living room which we run during the day. At night we turn off the ceiling fan in the kitchen and the living room. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan which is used at night along with the air conditioner on.

So far so good in So Cal.... no need to run the AC as it was barely in the 80's. I currently have one ceiling fan running in the room I am in and nobody else is home or else there would be more ceiling fans running.
I'm trying to research solar to get solar panels put on, but it seems like a really complicated process... hopefully I'll be able to arrange solar panels before it gets in the 100s. :/

Keep a watch for black mold on your carpets after they have been wet for sometime.. if you start having allergy symptoms & or it starts to smell musty. Hopefully it drys successfully without mold.

We have the air conditioner on all week days. I have a ranch house and won't go to work with Windows open and I have to have the ac running for the animals. On weekends if it's nice and we are home I'll open windows.

None. It's not that hot. I actually love hot weather and never turn on the air unless someone is visiting. I have ceiling fans in most rooms so I will turn on the fan once in a while if I get hot. I have a high tolerance for heat.
-
We have the AC on. We use a fan in our bedroom as well.
-
have ac but use the fan sometimes. you need ac where I live. it will get to 90 degrees or more.
-
I am under the AC. But I will still use a fan when I dont need the AC right then
-
Ac and one fan for my personal use. Worked pretty well.
-
I only have window air conditioners so I have a fan to blow the air into half the house, another in the bedroom to get air in there and 3 ceiling fans going. I HATE HEAT!!!!!!!
-
I have two and they are strong enough to cool us down.
-
I have an air conditioning unit, so I rarely use fans. However, there are some days where the AC conks out. In that case, I usually have two fans running (ceiling and standalone).
-
Probably about 4. Gotta love Texas.

I agree with the fact you could get a mold problem easily. If you have padding underneath the carpet, it is very difficult to dry out satisfactorily. I once had some rather plush carpeting in a room in my basement, no pad. However, the sump pump went out and I spent days with 5-6 fans blowing every which way. Bottom line was that I just never felt it was completely dry and was afraid of a mold issue. When the carpet came out, sure enough, the backing was not completely dry to the touch. Almost, but not quite! Add on a pad, and it would probably never have dried!

I don't have AC at all in my home so I rely on a trusty big fan that is blowing on me all day and all night long so long as I am in the house. I really don't mind the heat very much to begin with. I'm one of those people who can't stand the cold, though.
-
I have 2 fans and the AC on. I have COPD and when it is in the 90's I have a hard time breathing.
-
It is too hot here to just depend on fans. All they would do is blow hot air. I have to use my air conditioner. Last week mine stopped working, but I had someone there within an hour to fix it.
-
We have 2 ceiling fans on and my son uses a floor fan for better circulation and better comfort.
-
My husband and 1 of my daughters are allergic to everything, so unfortunately I cannot open my windows. So AC for us all the way, but I do not keep my house cold, we manage the AC to be around 70 to 75 depending onthe weather outside, during the day and then lower during night so we sleep comfortable.
-
We have two fans in our home that we have been using almost non stop in the past week since the weather got to the 80's (feels more like 90 or higher ) daily after it being comfortable. Our air conditioning isn't working which forces us to do so and our management is very slow or rarely fixes anything here. I bought an extra fan on ebay on Tuesday, a honeywell 908 15 inch to backup my honeywell 900 that I use in my room since it was formerly my aunt's fan and I don't know how much more life it has in it. I don't want to have to wait in these temps for a new one to be delivered should that one burn out.
-
We put the AC in the window in the back of the house on the first of the month, were we sleep. The one in the front of the house we may put in today. It is suppose to thunder storm for the next 5 days so we may wait so we can have the windows open.
-
My parents have a couple of fans in the house but I really don't like them blowing on me. I am find with AC though.
-
I just run the AC.
-
We run the AC all day but we still use ceiling fans and 4 box fans to help circulate the air.
-
None, we live in a condo with a lot of trees in back; so very rarely need to turn on AC or fans.
-
I love a good fan. I want the air circulating in my home all year long. In the summer I sleep with both my bedroom windows open so I can experience the cool, fresh air. It's pretty warm during the day; here, in Cedar City, Utah but it cools off nicely at night.

I don't use fans. I have AC. In really hot weather, fans only circulate the hot weather, which is frustrating.
