Title: 3 nights
Post by: tjshorty on August 12, 2019, 10:27:21 am
Three nights in a row of very loud intense thunderstorms.  I mean like shook the house for minutes at a time.  Sounding like a train derailed.  Last night I was still awake when it hit.  One crack of lightning immediately followed by the thunder.  I felt like it struck the tree outside my house.  Well me being that concerned waited...well no tree through the roof so I am okay.   ;D  Three nights of lack of sleep.  The days are really muggy although the temperatures aren't that high the humidity is.  It's been a really wet summer here.  How is the weather where you are?

I haven't seen thunder in years! I currently live in southern California so it's just all sun here.

Loud successive claps of thunder here in the Midwest this morning and it rained like four to seven inches from what I heard. That's a lotta watta.

It totally woke me up at 6:00 a.m. and I was not a happy camper.

Well, you can't really see thunder, you know. Sorry; I just couldn't resist.  ;)

I cannot remember the last time it rained.  Everything is dying.  They are saying there could be some storms in my area tomorrow.  But they will be hit and miss.  And the ones who get hit the storms will be bad and intense.

We are so darn dry here and the funny thing is the clouds build up and you hear thunder and see lighting but no  rain.  We have a saying here in our part of the state, if it looks like rain, smells like rain and it doesn't rain your in N.M.

I hate thunder storms. My poor dog is so frightened by them that she stays right by me until they pass over. Really hate it when they occur in the middle of the night.

When you come for the comments and they make your day. LOL!

I absolutely  LOVE  thunder storms. We had a really big one last week. If it hadn't of started at midnight I would have been outside watching it getting soaked to the skin!

Thunder Storms scare my Dogs out of their wits. Here in Georgia, it has been pretty dry for a while now. I do not like to drive in the rain, but I do like being Home snuggled up on the couch on a good rainy day just as long as it is not thundering and lightening. It always makes the lights go out where I live.

We have been having thunderstorms the whole summer. It is rear for it to rain without thunder where I live. I wish it would rain with less thunderstorms here.

I'm in Utah and I sleep with my bedroom windows open so I can experience the weather.  I love it when it rains and I'm fascinated with thunder and lightening.  I guess if it was too loud and obnoxious I'd have to close my windows.

I LOVE thunderstorms.  We haven't had many really good thunderstorms for quite a while.  I really miss them.  Especially, the all day ones.  I'm jealous!

I enjoy watching for the thunderheads to build up by late afternoon in hopes that we get a thunderstorm.  All too often they break down and we're left with another scorching day.  Usually thunderstorms are exciting news this time of year in north Texas.  Happy to say storms did develop during the overnight hours Tuesday into Wednesday morning bringing us much-needed rain as well as temperature relief, but we'll be back to facing triple digits again by Sunday.

I love living in the midwest for the sole reason of thunderstorms quite frequently. Especially if they are at night, that white noise definitely helps me sleep.

we have had some thunderstorms the last couple days, but not daily. And there has been no humidity, which is great, so even tho its 80* feels like 70's which is fine with me
