I figure you can do what ever you want to.  I have already listened to Christmas music. And will change my ringtones in my phone to Christmas music prob today.  Would have already done it but I forgot.   It is none of anybody else's business.  If you want to decorate your house for Christmas right now then by all means do so.

ghunter, I don't have a problem with stores already having decorations out.  Some people only get paid once a month.  So having it out now helps them.  I, like other things, do not see why it upsets people so much what other people are doing.

I remember a few years ago a job I worked on, during lunch I was sitting in my car, prob in about Sept listening to a Christmas CD and some idiot I worked with thought they had the right to say something to ME for listening to Christmas music in MY car.  smh  Needless to say that did not go over to well.  People need to concern themselves more with themselves and less about what everybody else does.  I have heard people smarting off at our Walmart about the Christmas decorations being out.  It is a sep section of the store and you do not even have to go back to that area so why does it matter?

Putting up early decorations in October for December is crazy, let Christmas be only in December not in October, you after awhile get tired of seeing them, it takes all of the excitement out of Christmas.

It doesn't for everyone.  Why would you care if someone else puts their tree up in October?

I usually start putting up decorations sometime in November. But I do a lot so it take a bit to get it done.  Honestly if I thought it was going to pee somebody off for ME to put MY tree up in MY home today... Guess what I would be doing. lol

That answer fits your demeanor to a T!!!

Go put a nativity scene up and support King Herod killing ALL the 2 yr olds in Bethlehem as toldin Math 2nd chapter.

Just a reminder. The 3 astronomers may have meant well to go and honor Jesus,But Satan made sure the star firsy took them to Jerusalem to see Herod cos the king wanted to kill Jesus.Herod lied to them saying he also wanted to honor Jesus and report back to him so he would know where Jesus was.The angel warned the 3 of Herods intentions and go home another way...not to report back to the king. When Herod knew they werent coming back he had every 2 yr boy killed in Bethlehem.Angel also warned Joseph to take Mary and the child to Egypt till Herod was dead.

And people are soooooo blind today they cant see this murderous situation. Its right there in Math 2

Just 1 of many reasons why Xmas isnt supported by the TRUE God in the bible <Jehovah>

We know the date of Passover every yr cos Jesus commanded it.Nisan 14 Jewish calendar of his execution.Date changes each yr with OUR calendar.Xmas date NOWHERES to be found in bible.Manmade from pagan god.

I heard on the news last night that Christmas shopping started today.  Stores are having early sales.  There are fewer days between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year was their reason.  ::) :present:

To each his own!  If putting up your Christmas decorations and listening to music gives you joy, then, I say, go for it. There is so much emotional stress and upheaval in the world, if decorating for Christmas makes you happy, then why should anybody else object!

I've start my toy shopping, but I'm just decorating for Halloween now. I usually decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving so I can celebrate the birth of Jesus for a whole month.  After the decorations come down, I continue to celebrate Jesus' birth all year.

I would say so. I like to wait until Black Friday at the earliest.

A day after Thanksgiving is the best time to start decorating for Christmas. Many people do Christmas shopping on Black Friday sales.

Personally I probably wouldn't decorate until December but I get excited about other stuff way earlier than that so to each their own. The only thing that bugs me is how early the stores clear out the current season/holiday's stuff by the time you actually want to buy it because they're long moved onto the next thing.

I try not to get my Christmas decorations up any earlier than thirty days prior . In Colorado that can be risky given the change in winter...even on a day to day basis. Yesterday it was seventy four degrees and sunny. Today it was twenty five and sleeting with snow moving in over the next two days and the possibility of ten inches of snow in the lower lying areas where I live. Halloween is supposed to be in the seventies (you just never really know). It has snowed on the last several Halloweens but people in our area are pretty resilient. We put a fire pit in our front yard and offer treats to the parents as well as the kids. I aim to get my exterior Christmas lights out the weekend after Thanksgiving but do not turn them on until two weeks before Christmas.

I can experience the true meaning of Christmas year round.  I love the music and the giving , loving atmosphere.  However I am not into the decorating and shopping.  I don't care for being inundated in the store with Christmas stuff.

Because it takes longer than one day to put it out and the employees do not want to spend their day working putting decorations on the shelf.  smh

They have to work anyway because all the stores have Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving day now.  Each having to try to be earlier than any other.

And some businesses probably want people to start and finish holiday shopping immediately.

It's not Halloween yet but honestly IDC if anyone has an issue with me decorating this early or doing anything this early that's holiday-related. I like enjoying the holidays and you can't fully enjoy that if you have to do a bunch of other stuff now can you?

We will decorate for Christmas in a much smaller manner this year as we have down-sized.  Our new rental house is small so we have no room for our Christmas tree.  I will have to see what I can find for tiny spaces.

That's when most start to decorate, which means they would need to buy them before then. I bought a few things a couple weeks back that I won't use until after Thanksgiving. People plan differently.

There are stores that had Christmas decorations  out early in July.  Christmas has become so commercialized.   They have taken the goodness and fun out it.

It's up to the individual and how they feel about it but the stores are getting into it earlier and earlier.  I start after Thanksgiving and keep it up until a bit after the first of the year.

I don't decorate until after Thanksgiving but it's your decision to make when you want to start decorating and/or playing music.

So what does Santa, reindeer, mistletoe, xmas trees etc have to do with Jesus BD?
And if 12/25 is cold rainy season in Bethlehem, kinda strange shepards would be out with their flocks as bible said.El Nino existed then?

Oh i forgot to mention.Only 2 birthdays mentioned in bible and both ended up as executions.John the Baptist being 1 of them.Jesus NEVER mentions command to celebrate his BD and bible gives NOOO indication of the date.

Gladly will supply references from the good book on what is presented here as MANY of u might not be aware of,especially to those that say they are familiar with the bible but are probably reading <who knows>!!
Why Fear God, Not Men?

“TREMBLING at men is what lays a snare, but he that is trusting in Jehovah will be protected.” (Proverbs 29:25) With these words the ancient proverb alerts us to the kind of fear that is indeed a mental poison—the fear of man. It is likened to a snare. Why? Because a small animal, like a rabbit, is helpless when it is caught in a snare. It wants to run away, but the snare holds it relentlessly. The victim is, in effect, paralyzed.

If we are seized by the fear of man, we are a lot like that rabbit. We may know what we should do. We may even want to do it. But fear holds us in thrall. We are paralyzed and unable to act.

Little to early for me but if you want to go right ahead.  It is your home and you can do what you want.  Did get most of my shopping done though.  Will decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving but the outside lights go up any time now when we have a decent day.
